Tyson Chandler bro hugs Markieff Morris. Then proceeds to lead the league in technical fouls.

Re: Suns Offseason Thread V: I Am My Brother's Kieffer
Perhaps MoBro has had a change of heart or he is just tough lumping it.... makes little difference as it is now up to him to act and play professionally. Time will tell. He has some PR bridges to rebuild, and now, with some veteran guidance there is no more excuses. There are no mistaking MoBro's inappropriate behavior. Would have been nice to hear an apology to the fans, and may be even some acknowledgment of his own mistakes. I am inclined to believe HE doesn't think he did any wrong, and doubt we will hear anymore from him. It really does not matter, as we are just spectators and speculators here.
I also do not absolve the Front Office from blame dealing with the MoBro, Dragic, Thomas, Bledsoe affairs. Things could have been handled much better on all fronts. I guess we suffer through the learning curve of this FO, but sooner than later, they have to realize their actions have rippling effects. We took a giant step forward, then two steps back... we are now back to square one, with a team that looks better on paper than what we have had in a couple of yrs...by a lot.
I still lament the losses of Dragic and theGORTAT as I believe those two should have been the start of a solid core here. Bad deals, but water under the bridge. And please, don't rebut this with the distant picks we received from Riley, without acknowledging the crapshoot the draft really is. Picks are pot sweeteners, up until draft day when you know who you are getting. Trades and free agency truly improve teams in tangible ways.

Dragic and Gortat are not talented enough to be a core that you build around. They are (very good) complimentary players that you plug in around All-Star or Superstar talent that represents a true core.
McD was right to value them as complimentary talent and not core talent.

Yawn... Miyagi... yawn. Your sarcasm is tiring. What happen ? You used to actually contribute here. Now its just these green finger pokes. Why bother ?
I don't get your point Cutter... Did I say either was a superstar ? Read what you said... they are the type of player you plug in around a superstar/Allstar... and then you have a core. So what is our core now ? You have to start somewhere. we sold off/ran off starting talent for birds in the bush. Cant deny that. Is Tucker part of our Core ? I'd guess Bled is, but wait, he isn't an all-star. Oh, I know .., its Chandler... wait... how can he be, he hasn't even played for us. I guess its Knight, because he was a 'near All Star'
See what I mean...
It is why we have stumbled and bumbled to where we are now. Has there been a team with more player changes, coaching changes, and front office changes in the past 6-7 yrs than us ?

Re: Suns Offseason Thread V: I Am My Brother's Kieffer
I would have been fine keeping Dragic, but I am also fine with two future number ones and Knight. That Lakers pick may be a painful loss, but that remains to be seen. At this point, losing Gortat doesn't matter much...he was going to be a free agent, is getting paid a lot, and I like the guys we have better, plus we got an asset out of him....can't remember who it turned into..maybe just Goodwin....but he wasn't going to be around to lead us anywhere anyway.
I agree with Frank in that the FO has not handled everything perfectly, though I can't remember a FO that has. I think for most of the past front offices I hated some of the knee jerk signings or trades....with McD it is all communication...or mostly communication...but I don't think he has made a trade I have absolutely hated...nor any signings I really hated at the time...in hindsight the signings last summer were not good, but we ended up getting assets out of them. Some say we didn't get enough value for IT, but we basically used cap space to create a first round pick, even though it's a late one.
I think this FO is more strategic long term than previous ones, even though they seem to want to win now. Every FO in the past has been the same way in wanting to win now.

Grown Ass Man just wanted to win... and McDo, clearly wanted to lose. Nobody makes that trade in hindsight.

I know MrMiyagi is going overboard with the green font, but it's only because he doesn't know how to deal with a fantasy football team that is as bad as mine.

I think Dragic will make All-Star this year. Though that's more because the East is awful and Miami has a huge fanbase that will be voting for him. Unless he regresses even more, which I suppose is possible.

Re: Suns Offseason Thread V: I Am My Brother's Kieffer
By my analysis a core is 2-3 high level players that you then build around to win a championship, or at least compete for one.
Core: Durant, Westbrook, ibaka
Core: LeBron, Wade, Bosh
Core: Garnett, Pierce, Ray Allen
Core: Shaq, Kobe
You fill in around your core players with role players like Dragic and Gortat. The Dragic and Gortat's of the world come and go at the whim of a GM as they work to build championship teams. GM's aren't judged by churning role players.
Oh well, it's just semantics and interpretation. I too would have been fine with keeping Dragic or Gortat. However I don't judge our GM by the fact that he traded these role players.

The Good Lord Aaron Rodgers blessed James Jones with 130 yards and a touchdown.

Same could be said of you Franky Cranky pants.
But in all honesty, there is nothing to talk about.
Does Markieff really mean what he says? Let's get our Body Language analyst to tell us the real truth behind his words.
It's all BS at this point. Once the season starts, the green font will recede when we actually have things to talk about. I like our team moving forward, Kieff and all. I liked out team at the end of last season, when everyone was getting their Chicken Little on. Now people are coming around because of Brandon Knight being "swole".... Seriously? Not because he's a good young player who did well in Milwaukee and finally had time to gel with our team. No, because he looks buff. Tyson Chandler was a too expensive move for "veteran leadership" but now we're on his jock because he said some words at media day. Him anchoring a defense in Dallas and in International Ball wasn't enough for us.

Amare did say that the reason he went to Miami was because of Goran, and if Goran had still been in Phoenix, he would have come back here.
