Ty Lawson: Curry Was "Chillin on Defense" In The Playoffs

I cant figure out why everyone is so upset by this lol. Did anyone actually read what he said...

Lawson also said Curry “wasn’t really working at the other end.”

Nothing he said was wrong. Shouldn't diminish anything Curry has done though, he cant control who's health or not. But If everyone's for the most part healthy going into this seasons postseason Curry will have to work harder.

Curry had a great offensive playoffs (to along with his great year), so it really offsets and then some the "chillin" he was doing on defense. What Curry doesn't control is the health of other players and any other player in his position is going to take advantage of whatever possible. PG's are usually not known to be an anchor on defense either.


Lawson poked fun at James Harden last season about his lack of defense too.

It's like we are a magnet attracting all the most hated players around the league, or once players join us they become hated. Has to be one of those. The level of hatred is insane. It's not even worth hitting back at them.

Lawson, who ranked #3 in apg behind Wall and CP, above Curry Russ Harden. He also created more points off his drive and kick, more than Harden. For those who was questioning what has he achieved. I can tell you, he is better than Trey Burke.

Also, what's wrong with speaking a bit of truth? If players all go 'I love my teammates, I do whatever coach asks me to help the team win, I give 100% on the court, I train to get better every day', would you be happy? Now they speak their mind, they are immediately idiots. Keyboard warriors or page 1 and+1 fishers really need to get a life.

He didn't say he could guard Curry. He actually said 'it's not like i am going to stop Steph'. He said Curry was not worked enough, and he would utilize his offense to (hopefully) make him work harder, to help the team win. He actually didn't mention a single word about his defense, knowing it's not one of his strength and that's the whole point of having this Beverly vs Lawson who should start conversation.
