Our OL has been surprisingly effective to this point. Houston will be a good test to see how legit that is.

Would love to beat Philly to get our season back on track but it seems like they righted their ship last week. Still, if D-Jax returns this week I think we got a good shot, you know he's gonna want to torch his former team again.

Re: NFL Week 4 Thread: Oct 1-Oct 5
San Diego desperately needs to beat Cleveland. Last week was disappointing. SD's OL is stuggling which puts Rivers under pressure and then he tries to force things and it results in turnovers.
Once Gates gets back after his suspension that should really help Rivers. I imagine they will shape up and have a big win vs Cleveland but at this point I don't know. After all the mistakes last week you'd think they'd have a hard week of practice.
I know. No one cares about SD. I think the division is still up for grabs. Denver is undefeated, but they've just squeaked by some bad teams, and their running game and Manning don't look too good. If not for their D, they'd be in big trouble.

Philly wasn't all that impressive last week. If not for Sproles and a miraculous one handed interception they probably lose that game. I think I'm taking Washington and the points in that one.

What concerns you the most about Houstons offense?

Them getting a short field from Watt and Clowney terrorizing our offense. If we can keep their pass rush in reasonable check then I trust our offense to put up more points than theirs.

I agree. Outside of Sproles and the defence forcing three (four) turnovers, Philly were quite poor.
Washington always play us tough regardless of the record and who knows what Eagles offence shows up.

Ravens have no many holes on both sides of the ball. Cant believe people had them as Super Bowl favorites at the start of the season.

Big Ben on one leg is better than Vick.

LOL, Vick has been very good this game. He hasn't been the problem at all...the problem is that their kicker shanked not one, but two FGs that would have iced the game in regulation.
Tomlin is also an idiot and refused to give the ball to his superstar running back on back to back plays when he only needed 2 yards.

Very good is a huge understatement. His accuracy has been sporadic all night and like always he looks to run after his first read. Tomlin has been pretty conservative with his play calling but that probably speaks to Vick's limitations.

And he misses a wide open Antonio Brown on a relatively easy 5 yard throw as I make that last post....

What more did you really want out of him this game? He's a backup QB. He's completed 73% of his passes, and has 157 total yards, with a TD pass. He's outplayed Flacco for sure, and he would have led the Steelers to a win if their kicker didn't suck balls.

Flacco has been playing with Aiken as his #1 receiver virtually the whole game lol

Re: NFL Week 4 Thread: Oct 1-Oct 5
Vick missed a 5 yard pass to Antonio Brown, because he was pressured and rushed the throw. And nobody is saying he's perfect. He's not a great QB, so he's gonna miss throws. But he also should never have been in a position to make that throw, because their kicker should have been out there for a FG...but the coaching staff lost all confidence in him after he missed 2 FGs already.
Vick did his job tonight. He played as well as you could expect a backup QB to play, and he put them in the position to win 3 different times. Kickers win games. Look at Tucker. The game winning FG was a 52 yarder right down the middle. If Scobee could have hit one of two field goals that were shorter than that, the Steelers win.

Such a poorly executed game. Both coaches should be fired.

At some point Mike Tomlin is going to pay for his repeated coaching errors.
I think Harbaugh is already seeing that maybe Marc Trestman for the offense isn't the best idea. Their OL is so passive, that's not what Yanda, Wagner or Osemele are good at. Then again when Flacco isn't elite he's barely a starting QB, and their WR group behind Steve Smith doesn't see the field for most other teams.
It's not whether you win or lose, it's how good you look playing the game

Another classic Ravens-Steelers game, albeit a mistake filled one, but these games have always been dirty and nasty.
Tomlin definitely had a bad day though. Lot of wrong decisions.
Not too impressed by the Ravens. They really should have lost to a team with a backup QB and K. But they found a way to save their season so props to them for that I guess. They really need some WRs though...
