The Cleveland Cavaliers and Tristan Thompson have been at odds over a contract agreement all summer. Thursday, Thompson let the expiration date to sign the qualifying offer. ESPN.com’s Dave McMenamin reported on Friday that the team is sending a message to Thompson by removing his likeness from Quicken Loans Arena. Chris Haynes of the Cleveland Plain Dealer posted images of the Cavs removing all Thompson images, memorabilia and clothing from the Arena.

Could be just upgrading the artwork? Are they removing any other images? Probably hard to tell from Miami.

They can't use his likeness for commercial purposes if he's not under contract. They could get sued.
