LOL :p I see a clear winner in J but i guess we all do trades to lose - I think this might be the best year to tank ft from the last 7 i been playing FFL since they are a ton of players that fit
J wb 147 174 115 275
J floppy115 275 147 174
Hey, there's a reason I said that wb should stop trading.
In my defense:
1) I read my email and this trade was there. It's not like I made some big sales pitch. I just took an offer that came to me - I didn't make a counter-offer and try to get more.
2) while I think that was a bad trade for wb in theoretical value, that's not as important as if the picks had been higher. Once you get in the second half of the draft, the distance between how two managers rank the remaining players can be huge. Every year there are a few top 100 players who go in the second half. If wb feels strongly that Aminu is one of those and fills a need, the deal may be fine for him. Once teams become somewhat defined in the second half of the draft, it's absolutely possible to have win-win trades.
He's basically saying he'd rather have Aminu and a free agent pickup than have 147/174. Not necessarily wrong. It all depends on Aminu.

speaking of witch when desire meets opp = trade
I totally agree with you thats why i make trades
and its probably where I get most fun
this been no different than others
I m nornally #1 in trades but this year i had #1 I could go AD bosh teague Thad beal yeah i would be fine ( if i keep my pick but theres no fun in that )
the problem is not in the trade i make its in the information I know about players - i even think i overpay in a few

Guys we are at a frustrating snail-like pace right now. Even gm's who appear to be around 24/7, inexplicably seems to be gone away when it is their turn to pick. If this continues at a similar pace until Wednesday, the pick time will be reduced to 6 hours. So please everyone make a concerted effort to make your picks as quickly as possible. That means:
1) Make your research BEFORE it is your turn.
2) In a similar vein, do your trade talks BEFORE you are on the clock. At the very least have some exploratory talks before your turn to weigh in your options, then you can quickly finalize your talks when your turn is up.
3) Just send a list, if your pick is approaching and you need to be away for awhile from your computer due to work / sleep etc. We have two groups of managers in 2 different timezones so we always have someone around to take lists. I have no more picks until 250's so feel free to send your list to me if you need to.

I think Frye may be done and TJ may have to wait another year. I guess Rubio is there for the steals? His fg% doesn't seem to fit and his assists seem a bit wasted. Might be another good sell high opportunity if he starts strong.
since brainstorming, discussing is the fun part for me at this time of year, here are my counter comments.
- Bogut fits perfectly as you might notice that I've tanked points.
- I don't think Frye is done, since he's usually a clutch shooter and a spacing 4. But he was really lackluster in the preseason game. Although in scrimmages he was quite good (both from what I watched and read)
- Rubio is there for both steals and assists, if you look closely my assists should be at least competitive with my forwards helping out. Yeah his FG% does not necessarily fit but I think my team can carry him somewhat. Especially if he gets to 40%
- I agree that TJ may have to wait another year, although I think he will blossom in the second half of the season and he has great potential with above 50% fg, good rebounds, good scoring, good steals and even blocks. People say he improved his 3pt as well. Instead of a vetera (Tony Allen), I wanted to go for a high reward player.

Rubio will mean you beat the tank-assist teams in assists at the very least, so he's probably worth it just for that.
Your Bogut comments make some sense. I was thinking poor ft% was bad for you, but he doesn't shoot enough ft to matter.

I agree the only problem with him is the way they used last year on the playoffs if they prefer to go small or to use other C. There´s also questions regarding his durability
I like him i though I could pick him with a pick i had before just thought hood had more trade value ( i was right and i could get other guys that were falling cause they should been picked earllier
sabonis wrote:- I don't think Frye is done, since he's usually a clutch shooter and a spacing 4. But he was really lackluster in the preseason game. Although in scrimmages he was quite good (both from what I watched and read)
You are on a quest cmon do you really belive what you are saying ? he is done - he will have value in his last year - if orlando want to shipping him now they got to send a 1st just horrible player horrible contract. Ps do you think when you say the same thing over and over again it gets close to the truth? your you doing your best to trade him ?
sabonis wrote:- Rubio is there for both steals and assists, if you look closely my assists should be at least competitive with my forwards helping out. Yeah his FG% does not necessarily fit but I think my team can carry him somewhat. Especially if he gets to 40%
I like rubio
I like rubio on your team
but you got to realize he wont be .400% fg player cause he never was and wont ever be
Not to mention the inj risk he have - now you probably going to say : - " both from what I watched and read he going to improve his Fg to .400 and going to play 82 games " Again Not going to happend
this is the good part for you I do belive he is ready and this was not only a good fit pick but also a great pick I belive he will end with 10 3 1 1 0.8 with great fg and low to dont expect much from his 3pt but he will be top 150 this year and since you picked him late 170 its a great pick imosabonis wrote:- I agree that TJ may have to wait another year, although I think he will blossom in the second half of the season and he has great potential with above 50% fg, good rebounds, good scoring, good steals and even blocks. 65 picks until my last one and I have a 71-man list (not in any kind of order). So I should be good.
