Right now, in Detroit they think Johnson is a cross between MJ and Pippen. They aren't trading him. Probably for anything. Wait a month or two for they hype to settle and see then.

I think Markieff Morris has been chatting with Pistons "staff" during his practice sessions with Marcus Morris over there.
Pistons like him for sure IMO..... he suits Drummond. A jump shooting, perimeter-biased PF will suit Drummond.... with Markieff improving his 3pt range he is a shoe in.

The "bad" boy image suits them too, the fans embrace that over there lol, reminds them of the glory days.

The price for Markieff is Stanley Johnson, throw Tucker and take back Ilyasova. Suns can even throw a future protected pick as steak knives.....

Stanley Johnson would be a SF/PF for the Suns IMO, he can dribble a bit too... Pistons with Jennings/Jackson, Caldwell-Pope, Morris twins and Drummond can make the playoffs over there and again... they suit Drummond and Stan Van Gundy's system of big man inside surrounded by jump shooters.

Detroit's not trading Stanley Johnson. If they were to trade Stanley Johnson, it's not gonna be for Markieff Morris.

Not with that attitude. 8-)

Yeah, I'm high on Stanley Johnson recently... realistically, Markieff Morris is not enough to pry Stanley Johnson, especially away from coach/president Stan Van Gundy.

Would probably take one of the Suns combo guards to get them interested assuming they didnt have Jennings and Jackson. Or if they want to dump one of those 2 to the Suns... but then Suns create other issues.

Markieff, Archie, and a pick for Illy, Caldwell-Pope, and a second rounder.

Markieff would be my favorite player if the twins cried so much that Detroit would do something stupid to get him.

I'm surprised that players who aren't in the top 10 in their position in the NBA still have such strong demand.

I guess there's 30 Front Offices and about 20 who need to be seen to be doing something.

I keep holding out hope for this 3 way:

NYK: Jennings
DET: Kieff
PHX: Porzingis

Add salary filler where needed.

The truth is there isn't much on Detroit that would be helpful to us besides Stanley (and Drummond, but he's very much not on the table), and I don't see how we get either. It would have to be a 3 way.

Actually, Kieff for Jennings. 3 PG's 4 Life!!!!

What if Marcus and Kieff switched places and Marcus is actually the one at Suns camp currently?
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

Wanting him is one thing but yeah unless Detroit gets another team involved they have nothing the Suns want.

I wonder if part of the supposed interest in Markeiff is to show Marcus how loyal they are to him as a player.

I'm not gonna lie, I'm decently excited for this season. Unlike last season where I had my doubts about the IT signing, I love the Chandler addition and I really think he will make a big difference for this squad.

I just hope we don't suffer any major injuries, feel like we've been unlucky in that regard past few years.

Thanks for posting and contributing. The things stated in the article where pretty much covered in here and several other Suns sources over the past few weeks, but good to see other non-Phoenix channels shedding some light (and being precise at it, too.

You know what I hadn't thought of that. But if that's the case, then we absolutely need to make the trade as Kieff is the better player. :D

Maybe that's why he tweeted that his future is not in PHX?

Per @Vincent_Ellis56, Pistons are keeping an eye on Markieff situation, but #Suns aren’t interested right now and have a high asking price.
