I really hope we let Torrey fly and attack them deep or in stride....

Get them to back up from the LOS and take the pressure off our OL and importantly run game.

Going deep requires the Oline to hold the pressure back longer. The problem with this oline is teams can generate good rush against our oline without having to blitz.

I really feel like we are going to win this game and possibly next against the ravens...they are winnable.

will be interesting. The corners will be tested this week. Manning throws to their receivers whether they are open or not. He throws balls up for grabs betting his WRs get the jumpballs over the DBs. Especially with Beckham who makes some crazy catches.

Jim Tomsula on Kaepernick: “I want a confident man… I believe it’s critical–and I believe in the quarterback”

Going deep also requires a qb that can deliver the ball... Kaep had time on the deep pass to Boldin... and threw it right to Shields... Kaep needs to learn to throw receivers open... The oline is horrid but Kaep needs to be more decisive.. The Giants game is winnable...

I don't care if we go 2-14 for the season, I just want us to beat the freaking NY Giants.

He probably should never had thrown that ball to Boldin in the first place.

Not necessarily, it can be done on a 3 step drop. NOT doing it is messing up our O. Right now the defenses have zero respect for our ability or even willingness to go deep. I suggest, again, the first play from scrimmage ought to be Smith, Patton, Vernon just going on fly patterns as fast as they can go. Just have Kaep fling it over there heads if need be. Let the defense at least know they are there.

The crappy protection just causes problems for slower developing deep routes from 5 & 7 step drop backs. Kaepernick could still throw deep from a quick 3 step drop, but he would have to throw Torrey open or place the ball where only Torrey can get it.

Hell, if Geep would radio in more deep throws from a 3 step drop Kaepernick wouldn't even have time to panic in the pocket or repeatedly drift backwards directly into the path of a DE/LB instead of stepping up into the pocket.

The 49ers never seem to try those. I always think of the deep drop plays that take a long time to develop. Those seem to be the type of plays the 49ers usually run.

The pass to Bolin Kaep absolutely should have thrown he had at least two steps on shields if he drops it in instead of underthrowing it Boldin probably scores.

Geep needs to put screens and quick slants in early...that will keep the defense honest. Bring in bush...use him to run up the middle on 3rd and a mile... no quick passes get kaep some confidence and keep the Giants from pinning there ears back and coming after kaep. The offense is horrid because the oline is pathetic, kaep is horrid, and the play calling and the coaching seems to be 2 runs and bombs away.

Wasn't there a safety nearby? I thought Boldin had a step or two but i don't see Boldin outrunning any corners or safeties with decent speed these days.

So Staley missed practice again. Would be great if he didn't play. Would force them to see something else and increase our odds of losing.
