I'll let these go for FREE! PM me ASAP if interested. Game tips off at 7:30 PM. You'll get the brand new leather seating. StubHub won't let me drop the price any lower than $6 per ticket so I'm reaching out here. Thanks!
NOTE: I JUST FOUND SOMEONE TO TAKE THIS PAIR OF TICKETS FOR FREE THANKS TO CRAIGSLIST LOL.

This is sad, not even sure I'd be able to even give these away. Times like this makes me wish they played in downtown Detroit instead. Auburn Hills is just too far out of the way for a lot of the metro area. I'd assume a fan in say Royal Oak, would prefer to drive into Detroit vs. Auburn Hills even with the proximity to I-75.

It's a preseason game against perhaps the worst team in the league. What did you expect?

I would take them but I'm too busy tonight and it's a preseason and yes it's far away from me, not worth the drive. Now say it was during the weekend and in Detroit? I think people would go to the game and then go out that night which is why I think the Red Wings stadium is going to be so successful.
Defense wins championships

In a larger market this never happens. There are enough casual fans within a close proximity and even accessible via public transit to games that cheap tickets will almost always sell.

Exactly...if the pistons played downtown those tickets would be gone.

One day Ilitch & Gilbert will create a sweet deal that Tom Gores simply won't be able to refuse. Just watch. It may be a few years, but I have a feeling the Pistons will be sharing a home with the Red Wings eventually.
Gores already has publicly stated that he is open to the idea. Folks from Royal Oak, Grosse Pointe, Plymouth, etc. and of course downtown & Midtown Detroit would be thrilled.

So you guys are saying pre season games sell out? Especially for teams that have had **** seasons for the past 6-7 years? Sorry even if I lived really close, I would rather sit at home and watch it. Especially being pre season

I'm extremely familiar with the Bulls fanbase & Chicago (having lived there in the past). Even in their suckiest years in the early 2000's, the United Center would be pretty packed. Good seats like the Pistons seats I have right now would be gone in a heartbeat. Their stadium is fairly close to to downtown Chicago & also accessible via various transit options as well.

Don't think you can compare the City of Chicago to Detroit.

That kind of limited thinking is what's going to hold Detroit back. Instead of staying stagnant, you have to be thankful that this is still a larger mid-sized Metro area & be optimistic. Part of the reason Chicago has been a thriving urban area during the past couple decades is precisely cuz a ton of U of M & MSU grads fled MI to go live there. Right now sunbelt areas such as Houston, Dallas, Atlanta, etc. keep growing while Detroit is remaining a bit stagnant. Time to change that especially now that some MI transplants to bigger cities are returning to Michigan to raise their families. Plus, the Metro area has recovered a bit economically since the recession.
I think a downtown Detroit location (ie. the Red Wings stadium) would draw more fans than Auburn Hills in general. Even if the Pistons start winning, it's going to take some time for the fans to return to the Palace because the location is crappy unless you live in Bloomfield Hills, Auburn Hills, Rochester Hills, etc.

I want Detroit to do good. I'm not sure that is the best place for the palace tho. I was just saying Chicago has a lot more population than Detroit of course they would sell more pre season tickets. I believe the fans will be back this year, especially if their in the Playoff race or better. They started to come back last year during our winning streak. Michigan loves their sports teams.

Meh, I've calculated it before. There isn't a significant difference between travel time between The Palace and Downtown unless you live in the southern part of the Metro (Dearborn, downriver, etc.) or in the city. For example, traveling to the downtown/palace takes about the same time from the 696/75 intersection.

Sure, Chicago is bigger, but compare the two Metropolitan area populations. Metro Detroit is no joke and it recently regained the title from Minneapolis as being the #2 economy in the Midwest. It is the 2nd largest Metro area in the Midwest as well. That makes it bigger than Milwaukee, Indianapolis, St. Louis, Cleveland (which is lucky to have the best player in the world), etc.:
#3 (Size of Population): Chicago-Naperville-Elgin, IL-IN-WI Metropolitan Statistical Area (2014 data): 9,554,598
#5 (Size of Economy): Chicago-Naperville CSA $618.172 Billion
#14 (Size of Population): Detroit-Warren-Dearborn, MI Metropolitan Statistical Area (2014 data): 4,296,611
#13 (Size of Economy). Detroit-Warren-Ann Arbor CSA $274.712 Billion
That's still a lot of people & $$$ floating around. And the Pistons charge a lot less for their tickets than the Bulls do.
