Very impressed with Tobias, Oladipo, Fournier, and Hezonja as far as the young guys go this preseason.
Harris is averaging about 13ppg and 6 boards in just under 25 minutes while also shooting 63% from the floor and 60% from 3's! My main issue with him (and Dipo) last year was that he wasn't as effcient as I thought he could be. He's definitely more effiecient now. Hopefully he stays that way in the Regular Season.
Dipo is averaging about 13 ppg, 3 boards, 3 asts, while.shooting 59% from the floor and 50% from 3's! It seems that whatever Skiles is doing with him is working. He's as efficient as he was when he was in Indiana.
Fournier is looking like he's picked up from where he left off last year averaging 15.3 ppg. We really missed him a lot last year whenever he was injured. Good to have him back healthy, hopefully he stays that way. We need him if we're going to be a winning team this year.
Hezonja has ice water in his veins and his jumper is beautifully smooth. I can't wait to see him during the RS. He definitely needs to improve his defense though.
As for the older guys, I really like Watson, Frye, and Smith. Our bench is looking good this year. Frye may or may not be a starter though. But I feel a lot more confidence in this bench compared to last years. I feel like a bench of Watson/Hezonja/Fournier/Gordon or Frye/Dedmon or Smith could either hold, or extend a lead while out starters take a break.
