To play with 3 Cs who are gonna want playing time?

2 of those dudes were literally Larry's backups, so...they'd probably want him because he's better. And McGee just sucks.

So from my understanding you think it makes sense for Dallas to have a 4-man C rotation? thats a lot of baggage. I don't see why Dallas would sign Sanders
Plus most Think the Mavs are gonna try to lose on purpose because there lottery pick is protected.

McGee is non-guaranteed for 2 seasons (and sucks).

Dalembert is old and plays for the minimum.

The NBA is ultra-competitive these days for every single roster spot. It's hard to make small moves that can upgrade talent. Teams swallow 900K all the time.

This is a 100% pass, how many headcase centers can we fit on 1 squad?

I doubt Carlisle wants Sanders after the whole Rondo debacle.

if we signed him, does he start? i mean he makes more sense in a lineup starting than hibbert, but hibbert is the better player and has played

it would be interesting to see what sanders motivation is like

we may as well sign Bynum back also whilst we are at it

Hibbert-Sanders-Bynum-Upshaw rotation just cause we can

This would be such a soothing move by the the Lakers.

It'd be a very relaxing feeling to know you have one proven, all-star center who has newfound mojo (Hibbert), one extremely talented, yet mercurial, defensive center trying to rekindle his former glory (Sanders), and one game-changing, "baby" prospect at center who is learning how to be a consistent player and man (Upshaw) ... Black is nothing to sneeze at either.

And to think all four of those guys, with all their unharnessed potential, would be on this team for what amounts to a bag of chips (they didn't even have to use a 2nd rounder on Upshaw).

This would be a gangsta' move -- the type of move that, once witnessed by any current naysayers' very own eyes, would absolutely infuriate Laker haters all over the planet.

I said last year after the Golden State Warriors signed Shaun Livingston that it was a championship move. This potential move by the Lakers would be ridiculously solidifying.

The Lakers would send such a powerfully strong message to the league if they "peddled" a more than halfway effective Larry Sanders off there bench.

This move would completely seal-up the Lakers' identity as a loaded team of extremely young, extremely old, and middle-aged "straight-ballers".

Make no mistake, with a move like this, they wouldn't need to sign a superstar free-agent to be an effective team, but it makes it that much easier to do if they so choose.

Not sure that Hibbert at $15.6 mlion qualifies as a "bag of chips" but I do like the move allot... Sanders can run too... Do it Mitch...

I'm for signing him as a backup to Hibbert... Man you talk about some ELITE rim protection. But we seem to always come short on these kind of situation. The player ends up elsewhere.

We have to cut both Sacre (even if he's guaranteed) and Black to make this move though huh? I actually like Black game.. We cant just let go of Kelly, Frazier, Holmes and Jabari instead?

It's so exciting thinking about the endless possibilities with Sanders/Hibbert covering the paint in a 48m game I bet our defensive numbers would skyrocket.

If the only sacrifice is cutting Black/Sacre then you have to do it.

No one is asking you for any favors. And stop causing baiting by purposely taking a shot at someone just because you don't like what you hear. No one is stealing your oatmeal cookie.

Sign Sanders? .... yeah, why not. If he wants to be a Laker that says something. I'm sure that even with all his issues there are a number of teams who would sign him.

Even with his psychological problems, can he be worse than Sacre? :noway:

I think he does want to be a Laker cause he's been real close with Young. Coming to a team that he knows has a close countership will help him focus... And I think Hibbert is one guy that can
Help Sanders... Hibbert is playing his best right now since he was a allstar and Sanders can learn from him.

Where's the report that the lakers are trying to sign him? I've seen dubious sources say that a team is internally discussing the possibility of going after him, but I've seen no reports that the lakers are actively pursuing him a deal.

Should change title if necessary. Internally considering him and actively pursuing are very different

Seems redundant to me... Think I'll lock for further corroboration.
