Ouch already...can only get worse in the heat of real games IMO. Rondo is just toxic.

I'm not sure why you feel that way.

Everyone knew what the risks were, and it is a single year contract.

Every once in awhile a guy who has some balls and speaks his mind can do something special believe it or not too.

Karl is exactly the kind of coach you don't want to pair with Rondo. Karl is an egotistical dbag who tries to force his players into specific roles instead of motivating them.

With a player like Rondo, you can't bully him into doing things your way. He's too smart for that. If you want to get the most out of Rondo, you need to give him some degree of creative freedom, otherwise he will get bored and complacent. This is why he got along well with Doc Rivers. Doc gave him enough freedom to be himself, but there was a mutual respect where Rondo wouldn't cross certain boundaries.

If you want a PG who simply follows the system and doesn't stray, you are wasting your time with Rondo.

Lol I'm pretty sure he is just trolling the media, and now trolling you guys. He was on the local radio show recently doing nothing but praising Karl. I think he is joking, guess I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure he is messin with you all.

i don't know anything about Rondo, but why are you assuming he is the problem? George Karl has this history. Go back to Ray Allen. Who trades Ray Allen for 2 months of Gary Payton? Friction with DMC and now with Rondo, this is what George does. I have no horse in this race but someone needs to recognize that GK is an egomaniac that can't coexist with NBA stars.

Add to that there was a rumor they wanted Monta Ellis too, and settled for Bellinelli (which was a nice pick up).

Surprised they didn't bring in Lance Stephensen.

Rondo's never seen eye to eye with a coach so this shouldn't surprise anyone, for all his faults Doc Rivers is a guy that builds good rapport with everyone of his players and even he had disagreements with Rondo quite frequently. If he can stay professional enough to not derail the team, everyone can live with that.

I want them to be good too....just not to good,wink wink.

I think the owner is a bigger problem. I actually like the Vlade hiring, even though he is the one who brought Rondo in. They may make it work, but two toxic figures in coach and player means at some point in a long difficult, stress filled season, things may blow up.

What's funny is that last paragraph could have been about Karl and Cousins.

I think at some point if the team really struggles they will revolot and force them to fire Karl. Should have just held onto Mike Malone.

I might be the only one here, but I think this spin could turn out as a good thing. Let them fight out, identify the differences and find the common ground to work out later on. Fighting as an act isn't negative per se, depending on what level are they doing it (personal or professional). Better now than in February.
