But in terms of number of hits in one draft, is this the best TT has ever done?
#1, #2, and #3 are all making immediate contributions, plus #6 RIP is already a major player on special teams. Has TT ever got it right with his first 3 picks all home runs like this?
Again, I know waaaaaaay too early, but with the small sample size, the early returns got me

#1 Randall already is looking better than 2014 version of Tramon. Younger, quicker, a fraction of the cost and only getting better. Tramon had some good years in green bay and at his peak was a top 5-10 corner in the league and was worth every penny of his contract. But in 2014 he was not as reliable and getting leaky in coverage.
#2 Rollins is already contributing on special teams, and getting some extended action Sunday started out with a bang. Pick 6 and another INT to boot. He's still raw and still is a mixed bag of getting beat, but he's oozing talent and can't help but think he's going to be an excellent corner if he can figure out this game in a couple years.
(wow, TT not only replaced Tramon and Davon but IMPROVED on them, that's incredible).
#3 Ty Montegomery. I remember some not so happy campers about going WR again in the draft after going to that well so often lately. Well Damn, Ty has been important with all the injuries. I was thrilled just for his KR abilities after watching 2014 of the worst kick returns in the NFL. We struggled to get to the 20 when the ball hit the 3. It was pathetic. Just wait another 4 weeks when things get cold and kickers can't hit it out of the endzone and Ty gets more chances, he's going to break a couple big ones this year. I'm also surprised he's already contributing on offense so early. He's already our #3 WR.
#4 Jake Ryan. He's already contributing on special teams and in preseason showed me enough to look forward to seeing what he can do next year. I think he starts ahead of Palmer/Barrington next year.
#5 Hundley. If there was any season in current NFL history that shows how important a backup QB is, I would say 2015 would be the year. Hundley looked better in preseason then a number of guys trotting out these past couple of sundays. Hundley is looking like a nice asset to have in our pocket, excellent work TT.
#6 RIP. He's been pretty good on special teams and the few times he's lined up in the wishbone he's made a couple punishing blocks. Kuhn is in his swan song season, and I think RIP is a faster, more punishing version.
I think the verdict is out still on Ringo & Backmann. On the UDFA ranks I still think Gunter is going to be a solid DB, maybe a decent nickle or dime back.
I guess I'm surprised by the IMMEDIATE positive results of this 2015 draft class. If we are seeing such positive contributions now, my excitement is how good they can be with a year or so of experience and training under their belt. Again all way too early, but it has me excited.
The last time I saw us hit our TOP 3 picks all in the same draft....Maybe 2009? 1st Rounders BJ and Clay, next 4th round pick TJ Lang. That was a pretty good 1,2,3 (although not much behind it).
I just gotta give thumbs up to TT for this draft, so far it's been an excellent class.
