What other game during preseason has Dedmon looked good?

Ah nothing like Summer League and Preseason to cause people to make bold statements. Repeat after me... PRE- SEASON.
Repeat after me.....25 wins again and another lottery pick. Regardless of Dedmon or Vooch. Now that is my true Bold Statement.

Raptors would gladly take him for next to nothing. They want a mini Team Canada up there. Drew in the right system could easily still drop 14 points a night. Valuncianis can pick up his messes on defense inside. Same with the Jazz. Bring Nicholson off the bench and pair him with Gobert. Regardless Nich can make a killing in Europe his game is suited for it if no one wants him
Nicholson, Stiemsma and a 2nd rd pick for James Johnson
James..... Johnson..... are you serious?!?!?
hell yeah I'd do it! lol. I really likes him for a while. Talk about versatility too!
I still have hopes for Nicholson... not gonna lie.... but there really just seems to be less and less space in our rotations for him unless we can get frye moved. Frye has been looking a lot better in the preseason as well. Moving like he's in his mid 20's again! saw a couple plays that i had to check his number to make sure that was him. hahah

Say it all you want. Doesn't make it true. You don't have some magic insight that the rest of us don't have. We all get the same info, so it's just your opinion, which makes it really easy to ignore.

Hahaha. Insight good one. I won't get into anything detailed but let's just say things like the fast break pass and scouting Dragan Bender means we are prepping for another lottery pick. None of the prominent business people renewed season tix this year. Attendance at the suites is down. I hope we compete for an eight seed but just don't see it. As to the crack comment, I think this team's best option is to get up and down in transition. Half-court game we still are a bit short on talent against the better teams as our main scorers Vooch and Tobias still give up more points than they score....Dedmon get up and down in spurts

None of this makes any sense. Attendance is down, so we go after another lottery pick? No, we go after the playoffs if we want to raise attendance. Or are you saying the business people are somehow basketball savants and know our record in advance? And fast break basketball fits a team with young athletic players. Scouting Dragan Bender is just our scouting team doing it's job. I know people got used to Otis not scouting anyone, but this team now scouts everyone, as they should. Who knows what will happen. Maybe we'll trade for a high pick or maybe not, but there is zero reason not to scout as if you have access from 1 to 60 in the draft.

I would say that yes our business people have an analytics algorithm to project our record in advance as well as probability of outcome with statistical significance. My point is specifically about the $69 fastbreak pass, not the style of play bud. That pass shows that interest is at an all time low and that many seats went unsold via ticket renewal. I bailed on mine and was offered a face to face with Rob Hennigan. That says alot. I would agreee that we do scout everyone but what I am saying is though they are trying the team largely doesn't have the positive outlook you guys as fans have. That's all. The team looks awful and the "it's preseason" argument is made as if these guys are the Bad Boy Detroit pistons and get a pass. They largely look terrible. Look around at the Warriors, Raptors, Grizzlies, and Cavs. They absolutely are taking the preseason seriously...heck Draymond Green threw his team under the bus because they lack focus in the "preseason".....

Of course they offer sales and "deals" when attendance is low. The games are a product and until it is a winning product you need things like sales to help get people in the door. Once we are winning games they will start creeping prices up. It's just how these things work. It doesn't mean that management thinks the team is going to be in the lottery again. Good lord.
Regarding the preseason: You mention some teams... Cleveland, Golden State, Memphis, Toronto. Of those 4 you mentioned, which has a BETTER record than Orlando? Hint, it's only one. Cleveland hasn't even managed to win a single game. Is anyone in Cleveland worried? No, because preseason means almost nothing (I do think it helps coaches figure out rotations and GMs figure who makes the squad, but beyond that...). Does Orlando look good? Not particularly, but they've only had 3 weeks under a new coach and system. And the rotations are preseason rotations. We haven't even seen what our likely starting 5 will be yet. Relax, stop being so damn negative and have a bit of optimism ffs.

Preseason = exhibition, thus they don't matter. This is like a glorified summer league, means nothing in the grand scheme of things.

I don't disagree that the team has looked relatively underwhelming in preseason. But I don't necessarily see a correlation in marketing and ticket sales to an internal projection to how this team will do. I think that is still a simple supply and demand phenomena. You can argue that the fans aren't nearly excited or hopeful enough to want to buy tickets, driving the Magic to get creative with filling the building. But an internal projection of another lackluster season would not drive the ticket strategies.
And if this team was a championship contender, I would still want my scouts scouting the best players in the world. The best franchises do their due diligence on everyone.
Out of curiosity, how bad do you think this team will be?

Didn't know there was a debate going on in here. I was wondering why people kept commenting on this thread.
I've just chosen to ignore all the doom and gloom stuff regarding our team and it's players. I won't start defending this team and players until the regular season. Nothing much you can do when people wanna panic over a couple of preseason games.
