I'm no Met fan but I have to give them props. They sensed they had a shot at making a run and took it, making aggressive moves at the deadline and not shutting down certain SPs. Dodgers once again gag it up in the postseason. They're basically Nats West at this point. Does Mattingly get fired?

Prediction time...I'm thinking Cubs over Mets in 6 and Blue Jays over Royals in 7. Then, Blue Jays over Cubs. Sorry Cubby fans, gotta wait a little longer to win a ring.

You've gone on the record as saying you hope they let him walk. If he's walking to the Giants, would you change your mind?

He's my favorite Dodger. If you read me say that somewhere, it was taken out of context.
It's always been about the years for me. He's 32 and gets a shot in his elbow before every year. I'd go to 4 years if he just wanted a few million more a year) and possibly even a 5th year….but I'm not paying him $25 mill+ per for years 38-40. ZZZZZzzz

Emotionally, I'd hate him going to San Francisco. In the moment(s), I'd hate it. Like say if the Giants are running off 12 out of 15 during a stretch of next year and he's pitching well through that stretch. I'd also hate if he went there on a team friendly deal that I would have liked in Los Angeles.

Emotions out of it, we can stomach that loss…even if it's to SF…give me that compensation pick and keep the **** contract.

I'll be happy to pay him that kind of money until he's 38 if he wins a ring with us. We had to deal with Zito for 7 years and before he helped us win a ring, he was the worst signing to ever happen to the Bay Area, but now he's a local hero.

I'm thinking Royals over Cubs. Not the Jays year imo.

A little bit of credit for winning the division 3 years in a row please.

And I'm assuming he's gonna get canned.

edit:
btw, if we were really Nats west, we could have interviewed Bud Black this week (a manager I actually like) but nope, look who gets first dibs.

Price is officially the biggest choker in MLB history. The Dodgers (or whoever else wants him) can have him.

Yep. I'm good with Stroman and turning one of Sanchez/Osuna into a starter.

Peace out Price.

Toronto sports fans insecurity is off the charts. Hopefully the Leafs get a title soon so they chill out.

This isn't a one-off reaction. Price is a legitimate choker. 5.04 ERA/4.55 FIP in 7 playoff starts. You expect better numbers from your #5 starter. Today was another disaster. He was rolling (gave up 1 hit in 6 innings on less than 70 pitches) until the defence committed an error (they failed to field a fly ball which allowed KC to get a leadoff runner at first). That single play caused him to completely spiral out of control (he gave up 5 consecutive hits, which translated into 5 runs). It was embarrassing. That just doesn't happen to mentally tough players.

Actually, I think he was referring to Michigan.
