I don't even know who is supposed to start for either team yet, or who is sitting this one out.

I'm hoping Blake makes his first appearance as I have had enough of Spencer for a lifetime. Baynes seems to have fit in the rotation quite nicely his first time out.

Also remember Piston fans, this is a PRESEASON game! Have fun watching it and leave the stress for the regular season!

Some interesting defensive stats through 5 games...

Pistons are allowing:

2nd fewest 3PAs
5th fewest FTAs
10th fewest FGAs within 5ft
7th most FGAs from 10-14ft (and 3rd lowest FG% allowed from that range)
4th fewest AST/GM

That is amongst NBA teams and not counting the Euro teams, but the rankings arent much different either way. What it says though is that they are implementing Stans game plan of limiting attempts at the rim, from 3, and FTs, while forcing teams more into the less efficient midrange area. The opponent assist totals are important too, as it shows how much you are limiting teams ball movement and making them play more iso, which is less conducive to winning.

Of course its just a few preseason games, and ultimately what % we allow from those areas matter too, but still encouraging to at least see our game plan being followed.
