John was born in 1940, would have been 75, Paul is 73, so they are quite a bit older than me. Don't rush it!

you're right. I'm ten years off. It's what happens when you get old.

2 games down and 2 kicks in the gut. Cubs better wake up, their bats especially, coming back to Wrigley.

Impossible to compare 2003 to 2015. We are starting four rookies at key positions -- something almost completely unheard of.

What we've done is stunning and points to a long, sustained run. This is not lightning in a bottle, this is the beginning of an era.

Beyond the difference in players, we have a better FO, better scouting, better managing, a better ballpark and better ownership.

It will be a few years before Bryant, Schwarber, Russell, Baez and Soler peak. When they do, we could enter a Golden Era.

If anything the 2015 Mets are closer to the 2003 Cubs with the young staff of aces (Prior, Wood, Zambrano, etc).

So while its important to not lump the 15 Cubs with the 03 Cubs, we also need to realize we've only played 1 game. Its a long, long series.

If we win tonight, I like our chances.

I wasn't comparing the Cubs to the 2003 team, just the situation. Hoping that the Cubs can come back as the Marlins did from now 2 games down and go on a run! Go Cubs!

They just looked like a bunch of inconsistent rookies last night.....they are just rookies who got in over their head in this series. This isn't anything to fret about though; they are young and have many years ahead of them. Just take this series as a learning experience for the future.

They stunk it up. Oh well, great season. Stay the path, get good pitching and let the hitters grow.

Rats. I watched the final pitch, took two shots of Jack, chased it with some Colgate and hit the sack. Good season, this is just the start.

that stunk, puts a bad taste in your mouth but we need to make sure and look back and appreciate this season because we exceeded everyone's expectations by a lot (except for back to the future) and it was a great summer and a fun ride

we'll be back and i'm excited for the future with this team

I'm not mad. Just disappointed. Especially how the season ended and how much I hate the f'n Mets. I would have rather seen the Cards sweep the Cubs. I at least respect the Cardinals. The Mets have always been and will always be scum.

As I've said before, this success this season for the Cubs is something I (and many) thought was probably coming in 2017. To be this strong already is great. But now I expect more going forward. I expect a fun offseason too that hopefully sees the Cubs adding David Price and a couple of key bench pieces.

The Mets out pitched the Cubs, out hit them, took advantage of mistakes and had a couple of players that were flat out hot. I just hope now the Royals or Blue Jays win it all.

I would have felt like the Cubs lost to a better team. With the Mets, I feel like the Cubs lost to a hotter team. And like I said, there's NO respect there either. It would be like losing to the Brewers.
