Re: NXT Thread 2 (The Day I've Been Waiting For)
Jordan has improved a lot in the last year and they never really tried to push him. He was one of those guys you could tell they probably liked a lot but he rarely won matches as a singles wrestler and never won important matches.
Even today when its not exactly the land of the giants anymore, Gable's a small guy. Even guys that are considered undersized like Balor or Breeze or Zayn, he's 3-5 inches shorter than them. He's a pretty complete package otherwise but I'm not sure he can overcome that.

So Breeze might be called up this week.

That's probably a good decision. It feels like he hasn't won a match since the first TNX Takeover.

Re: NXT Thread 2 (The Day I've Been Waiting For)
It'll be interesting to see how they introduce Breeze on the main roster. On first glance you would think if anyone needs weeks of vignettes its him, he's got a bit more of a layered character than Samoa Joe for instance. But, the supermodel stuff is becoming a smaller and smaller part of his character. He's still got the entrance but he's not calling as many people uggo's, he doesn't run away like a little girl when he gets hit in the face. He's got much more of an edge, its much more about winning matches and titles. But its been a natural, long-term progression to get to that point. So when he gets to the main roster do you hit the reset button and start from the beginning again with him or do you use the character he has now?

I feel like he's going to end up in a similar role on the main roster, though. He'll be the guy who goes out every night and loses a good match. Or, if Vince has his way, he'll end up being the guy who goes out every night and gets squashed like Bo Dallas and Adam Rose. Either way, it's hard for me to envision him having a ton of success on the main roster. I don't hate him or anything, but I don't really like his character (and not in the fun heel way that I like Owens' character) and he's just solid in the ring, not spectacular.
The Full Sail fans like and respect him because he's a good worker and he's one of their guys, but I just don't see his character resonating with a full Raw crowd.
Also, does anyone else find his voice incredibly annoying? I'm sure it's a fake voice he uses for his character, but it bugs the hell out of me because of how fake it sounds.

reminds me of the Dudley's ECW and WWE runs. How Bubba started off as the stuttering fool until D-Von got him serious and ECW turned them into the best tag team in the business and the most dominant team in that company. Bubba lost the stutter and became the mouth piece of that team. Then when they left for the WWE they ran that same angle again when they first arrived. It was short lived but a complete rewind/restart to re-establish the progression.

They also basically introduced Emma like people were expected to know exactly who she was from day one.
I think Breeze will have a lot of success on the main roster. NXT is a very good TV show, it has not proven to be a very good developmental territory. If you look at the guys that have successfully made the transition to the main roster, its Big E and Bray Wyatt and Reigns who are primarily FCW guys. Its Rollins and Owens that are Indy guys. And they need that guy that they can point to and say 'this guy was created by NXT and he's successful on the main roster' and they're not going to get the credit for Balor or Joe if/when they make it up. And Breeze is the one singles guy, because there are some tag teams and Bayley that are ready as well, that they can point to and credibly say 'this is an NXT guy'.

Re: NXT Thread 2 (The Day I've Been Waiting For)
Perfect opportunity to create a new star by having Breeze beat Cena for the U.S. Title, but lmao, who am I kidding.
I honestly feel bad for Breeze with those Summer Rae rumors. Don't get why anyone would want to go to the main roster with the crapfest they have every week.

Eh...if anyone has a gimmick that goes hand in hand with a valet, it's Tyler Breeze.

I guess. It feels too much like Emma-Santino to me.

I guess it primarily depends on how they utilize her character with him. If she does all the talking, it will fail. If she's there primarily as arm candy for him, it could work.
Also, given that a lot of rumors have said that Rusev is probably going to be punished by Vince for his engagement leaking in TMZ, anyone willing to bet that Breeze beats him tonight in the ring? The rumors of him appearing with Summer seem to go hand in hand with a Rusev match. I just hope, if they go that route, it's a one-off match where she uses Breeze to get revenge and then he moves on to something different. I really don't want to see another love triangle storyline involving Rusev.

when you say Breeze as an NXT guy you mean Breeze the character and not the guy playing the character right? Because Mike Dalton would be just as much a FCW guy as E, Wyatt, and Reigns.

Always felt like a valet would be unwanted by Breeze as a character. I mean who (woman or man) has a face gorgeous enough to pair with Tyler's? I can see a female "fan" that would do any and everything to ensure Tyler's sucess but definitely not anybody that would be his equal.
I would also make that character complete opposite of Breeze. So she wouldn't dress like him or have the same high opinion of herself either. She'd be be like a boy band crazed teen like fan of Tyler's.
Doesn't come out with him but makes sneaky run ins or distractions to ensure he wins a match. Maybe she's a plant that jumps the rail for the first few weeks and while "security" brings her down Tyler schoolboy's or hits his kick for the win against his first real opponent. Later she's an intern backstage bringing out coffee to the announcers and throws it on Tyler's opponent, maybe makeup for Tyler and gets it in the eyes of the opposition while waiting ringside, then gets hired on as "staff" for Tyler once he sees her value.
All of this setting up a Diva career for her later with the enevitable breakup of the duo and her spawning rivals out of the other divas for "wanting Tyler for themselves" which is a delusion in her head.
She'd look something like Veda Scott from RoH.
Yeah I just ran with this whole thing excuse me.

Well, you already put in five more minutes of effort than WWE creative will.

Re: NXT Thread 2 (The Day I've Been Waiting For)
I think he'll have a very short and very forgettable singles career to start. Not his fault. He's a great worker and his character is ok but one we've seen before in many iterations. Eventually they'll put him in a tag team with another guy they have nothing for (Miz immediately comes to mind) and they'll excel.

Its not about what's true or false. Its about what they can credibly claim and Breeze would be the first guy to go through NXT they'd be able to claim as a success created by NXT and get minimal push back. And for the record I'd disagree with you characterizing it that way as unlike those guys he's spent more time in NXT than FCW.
