Hennigan should be fired if...

Post#1 » by Orlwillbeback » Tue Oct 20, 2015 3:01 am

We end up winning 20 something games again while portland and new york win more games than us with both kyle o quinn and harkless playing valuable roles for them.

It would be inexcusable.

Way too early to think about firing Hennigan. He's been pretty good so far and it takes time to build a winner from scratch in this league without a lot of luck. I do think 1 or 2 of the "core" players will be traded in the offseason or at the deadline if we still suck as bad as ever.

Feel like it might be in the cards if it plays out like that. 4 years of 20ish wins is likely pushing a threshold of patience for most owners in the league. Don't think it's necessarily rational or sound, but it's tough to last with that kind of record. Not sure Harkless or O'Quinn really matter in the scenario though.

He shouldn't even be here in the first place. Hiring Joke Bone as a coach! The first person that he hired was a mistake!

No you are wrong. It would certainly look terrible if harkless and oquinn played well and gelped their teams to more wins than us and would show a mismanagement of assets and poor scouting and valuation of our own assets.

If Moe and Kyle are difference makers while Dipo, Vuc, Harris, AG, and Elf aren't, we have BIG issues. That being said, Portland isn't going to be good. You never know about the Knicks as they're in the east and have a star.

I do not see any path for Orlando to win so few games. Even major injuries to key starters is off-set with generalised bench depth.

The Knicks must be projected to be horrible this year; But can easily rebound next year with strong FA signings.

For Portland, there simply needs to be a major upgrade in front-court quality. Talent and depth are both lacking.

Liked those two as well. When Harkless blocked Carmelo three times at one play, that's something. KOQ banging bodies and blocking Dwight's jumper that's something.

Given a proper usage and motivation, I believed those two can excel in this league. Too bad :banghead:

I think Orlando is going to contend for that 8th spot this year.

If The Magic have a disappointing season, Hennigan probably will be shown the door but I do not think anyone wants to think about that now.

I really like Rob Hennigan and this team is going to make the playoffs this year.

Moe was strange because he was under contract and Rob got nothing for him basically. However, the dude also sucks, so do you really want him around? I think it was either him or Marble, and Rob went with Marble, who isn't great either, but at least he tries. Besides, when would he get minutes? Do you really want Harkless taking up time that could go to AG or Mario?

Kyle however, I have no clue why people are getting all upset about him. I mean I think Kyle seems like a really good guy, but he drove me absolutely insane last year. He was nothing but a foul machine that chucked up shots. To me he didn't earn a contract with this team, at least a multi-year one anyways. Who knows what Rob offered him, but clearly he wanted that multi-year deal, and perhaps being closer to home didn't hurt. Also, with Frye, we don't really need another big man that is taking up a roster space for multiple years unless they are worth it. They clearly wanted to fill that spot with Milsap, but since that didnt work out, they went with Smith who may or may not be better than Kyle, but he's only here for a year, so he doesn't mess up anything.

I really don't think so. I think Hennigan will trade some core pieces if the team still isn't gelling properly. Prime candidates probably being Vucevic and Harris.
