Seriously, go and have a look at the Philadelphia 76ers team lineup. I will be astonished if they even win a game this season. It is the worst looking roster I have ever witnessed for an NBA team, ever.

I'll take your word for it Cyrus, as I don't feel the need to watch that ball club play.

Re: Around the NBA III
They also have Stauskas and Okafor to go with Nerlens Noel. While they will struggle learning how to play with each other, I do feel like they have a few good young pieces.
I think Sac gave up on Stauskas way to early, and he will find his jump shot. Going east and playing on a very young hungry team will be good for Stauskas.

only pre season obviously, but Noels line this morning was crazy. 15 points, 11 boards, 6 steals, 2 blocks

Noel's going to be good. His defensive stats last year were really, really impressive.
Depending on what Okafor does, and how Saric does when he comes over, they could definitely be good in a couple of years, but it's going to be a lot of losing between now and then.

Re: Around the NBA III
Sixers are a mess. How much longer do they give the GM to play this out? Next year they should have Saric finally in the NBA, a theoretically healthy Embiid and another top pick -- let's say they draft Jamal Murray -- they still suck! This team is years and years from being a contender, but sadly only one player from making the playoffs...looks like that's good enough.

Re: Around the NBA III
Noel could be anything. Let's wait and see how he does when opponents take his team seriously. I could see him ending up the 2nd coming of Okafor/Kenyon Martin hybrid if his offensive game never progresses. Defense does look sexy though. He'll be a star if he becomes an efficient scorer. Doesn't even need to develop into a primary scorer as long as he's a threat since his defense should be his calling card the rest of his career.

Okafor/Martin hybrid? Noel looks a completely different player to them. He looks more like a taller version of a young Scottie Pippen to me.

Okay, maybe the nose and ears don't look very similar.
Then again, I don't ever imagine Noel playing point forward. Maybe defensively if that's what you're speaking. Would you have preferred I said post Magic days Big Ben as his comp?

I guess he's like no other really. He is a really tall, skinny skilled big guy that creates havoc on defense, but isn't refined enough to be a focal point in an offense.
Wait a minute, is he the player we were imagining Anthony Randolph could become???? Oh my, I think he is! The universe just shifted for me right now.
Nerlons "Magic Randolph 2.0" Noel.

Re: Around the NBA III
Flat out, Nerlens Noel is the Sixers best player. I think if they kept Michael Carter-Williams, then they wouldn't be so bad. The PG position is their biggest problem and weakness. Tony Wroten can fill it up, but can he play PG? Will have to see. I think he's their starting SG, but he is out until December with a knee. Isaiah Canaan can shoot, but not that impressive at PG. More of a SG and guy off the bench. Nik Stauskas could be their starting SG because of Wroten injured. However, he's been injured, too, and now working to be ready for opening night. Sweet Lou Williams is coming off the bench as a combo guard. I guess they're going to keep TJ McConnell. He is an undrafted rookie and could be the starting PG. Then there is Pierre Jackson. Who? He could be the starting PG, too. Or it could be Canaan due to the injuries lol. Jahlil Okafor should be the starting C and has been meshing with Noel, so that's a good sign. He's had some knee problems though. Robert Covington can shoot the 3-ball, but doesn't play much D. Yeah, I think they'll be bad.
The NBA GMs think Jahlil Okafor is the favorite to win ROY. What? You have to see these guys play some real games to tell. If Joel Embiid was healthy, then you don't need Okafor. If Okafor is indeed a ROY candidate, then they keep him and probably deal Embiid. Honestly, who knows? The Sixers still have Sam Hinkie as GM, so anyone can be traded for a future pick.
The other thing is the Sixers have too many injured as mentioned. Besides Embiid out for the season, Kendall Marshall who may have started at PG has a torn ACL. Won't be ready past October. There's still more injured of players who aren't household names. Did I mention they'll be bad? Yes, I did, but it's worth mentioning again. They'll be bad.

Re: Around the NBA III
I finally got the low down on Sam Hinkie. See below. While I do like how San Antonio and Houston have used analytics, Sam Hinkie has taken it to the max. The Sixers are the number one analytics using team in all of pro sports. Yet, I think it works against them. There is a limit to pure analytics. There are coaches, GMs and players who revolt against it, so it's not as easy one thinks to build a team using pure analytics.
The other NBA team that is all-in on analytics are the Dallas Mavericks, but they got screwed this off-season. Their C, Tyson Chandler, left them in a huff. Golden State is just below the above teams and it seemed to have all come together for them last season. OKC is another team in the same class of analytics as GSW.
The 76ers' plan to win (yes, really)

Jahil over Nerlens. At least right now. Getting buckets is the point of the game and that boy can get buckets.
Can someone please punch DeAndre Jordan in the face? He's drinking a$$#0le water that CP3 been drinking for a few years now.
And Karl Anthony Towns is hands down my favorite rookie so far this year. Although Okafor's 26 was sexy, they still lost the game. KAT in the huddle talking to Rubio like he was the vet. He's got range out to 20 feet on that jump shot. Took a step back at the top of the key. 7'0'' shouldn't be legally allowed to do that.
