Good job Rich Paul. He knew the Cavs would cave. Props to him and TT for sticking to their guns.

he was so good in the playoffs last year and the fact that they're a team that is contending for a title makes this deal acceptable. Will be interesting to see how he'll fit with love in the playoffs this year

And people were criticising Paul and TT...

Hate him all you want, but dude gets clients paid and that's all that matters to TT. Hell, his actions made this contract look like a steal, and can portray TT as the one sacrificing.

Serious question here; how many other agents would have gotten Thompson this big of a deal?

They were probably forced into a corner. Maybe LeBron threatened another one of his two week vacations?

There are 25+ teams pissed they agreed to give a role player this much. Its all about who you know.

Sorry but this has lebron written all over it imo. Not saying lebron did anything wrong but I can't see the Cavs making this deal unless he wanted it done.

Cavs were backed in a corner with LBJ's buddy being Tristans rep.

Tristan is also pretty damn important to the Cavs title hopes and this gets him back with a solid week of practice time before the season starts.

Love Thompson but this deal is insane regardless of the cap going up. This kid better put in work and improve on the offensive side of the ball.

If I was a young player, I would seriously considering firing my agent and hiring Rich Paul.

No it's not when you have $75 million committed between Lebron, Love, Kyrie and TT. It's not a good deal. They have to pay Mozgov next offseason and still have to have 10 players on the roster after that...
