So many people just not getting that money does not matter to Gilbert during LeBron's window.

Go to google,Look up Dan Gilbert.

I know he's rich, but they guy's not a endless printing press.

They where barely above water before this signing (made a small profit last year), the TT signing will be a huge cap hit to a team already above the cap, I honestly doubt he double dips... you're talking like 60+mill for 2 people over 1 year?

Keep in mind he got creamed in 2008 too.. So I would be shocked if they keep Mozgov.

Clearly it somewhat does, otherwise they would have maxed out TT right away.

No way they give up Mozgov after sending two 1st round picks, they value him highly..

The Cavs are currently $24,414,569 over the 2015 NBA Luxury Tax Threshold of $84,700,000.

Wiki say that are taxed at a $4.75 rate per dollar over the tax due to being repeaters and being more than $20mil over the limit.

That puts the tax at $115,969,202.75. Crazy if that is correct. I'm reading those figures and reporting what I read. If someone has more accurate info, please share. These are the best I could find.

5/82 is ridiculous enough for a role player, even with the rising cap. The number with the repeater luxury tax boggles the mind. I don't know the particulars enough to do the calculations on what Thompson's salary effectively runs them this year, let alone in subsequent ones, but just on the portion over 20 million, it's almost 21 million just off that. Then there's almost 10 million beyond that for the tax to be applied, whatever the rate for that is. :eek2:

We need someone who knows all the repeater's rates and ranges to do the full calculation to put this all in perspective. It's gotta be at least around 50 million this year just for Tristan Thompson. :eek2: :eek2:

The cavs will be pushing hard to move Andy in the offseason. That will clear about 10M off their cap next year. Then they will give moz around 18M. So it's not too crazy.

Can buy a lot of 1st round picks for what he's gonna cost.

They will have to move some one like Varejao, that might not be so easy.

It's crazy to think some team would trade for Andy. True.

With the injury history of that frontcourt, he's going to see some starters minutes.

Wow, I mean he had an awesome finals, but it was because of a very specific situation both for his team and the line ups the Warriors were using, big overpay.

What year are you living in ? Andy was one of the worst defenders in the league last year. The only thing he can do is hit a 10 foot jumper and sometimes finish around the rim. He's not even that good of a rebounder anymore.

This. What is the Cavs cap looking like now? 110 Million+ ? :banghead:

They finally paid him? He's now the highest paid bench player in the NBA. That's ridiculous.

Still a better player than TT, look at any stats you want, or use your eye test.
