Re: Around the League
Lmao. Bulls starting mirotic with Gasol. That is a horrific defensive frontcourt. No way in HELL that team is winning 50+ games this year. NO WAY.

Mirotic seemed decent to me when we played them and Gasol is still 7ft. They are also very deep. We can't go 6 years with out sniffing .500 and predict 50 wins and then say a team who has been above .500 for majority of last 6 years can't win 50 games.

So your saying I should take into account past teams that have zero to do with this year's team and use that when saying anything about this year's team?Blkbrd671 wrote:zeebneeb wrote:Lmao. i am saying the bulls are returning the majority of their starters and have significant vet talent mixed in with developmental talent, a defensive minded coach and a track record of players that know what it takes to win and depth. If you take your bias out, Chicago's more likely to win 50 games> detroit

Re: Around the League
It's not about bias it's about recognizing change. The Bulls have won based on defense, and thier defensive minded coach. He's gone and starting Mirotic confirms that defense will not be the focal point this year. Gasol is another year older and Rose still hasn't returned to form. Noah is also a shell.of his former self.Blkbrd671 wrote:zeebneeb wrote:So your saying I should take into account past teams that have zero to do with this year's team and use that when saying anything about this year's team?Blkbrd671 wrote:

Bias had nothing to do with my thoughts going into the season. Change is constant.
If the Bulls win 50+games this year it will be because Portis plays significant minutes and produces like madman rose returns to form and somehow thier defense doesn't slip.
I don't see all those things happening, at all.

i am on record that the biggest question mark for Chicago is their defense and whether they can survive with our TT. I will not base it on meaningless preseason games and rotations. Nor will i make a assumption about a coaches direction based on 1 players mpg. I can't help you see your bias in regards to this matter. But again ITS PRESEASON

You need to remain objective. you've already developed your opinion about chicago without having any data. I have my suspicions as well, however i will not CONFIRM them on a handful of meaningless preseason games

i am just going to end the discussion right here. Your already stating your opinion as fact. There are certainly more than one way for the Bulls to get to 50 wins, and riding the coat tails of a Rookie is a possible but highly improbably means.
If you want to believe Bulls are a crap team and Pistons are MOST CERTAINLY BETTER, its your opinion. I am just merely stating there's no relevant facts to support a opinion either way, and the reasoning is not sound.

Re: Around the League
Bulls have incredible depth though.
Brooks is actually an ok backup PG.
Snell backups Butler or Dunleavy
McBuckets backups Dunleavy
Taj backups Mirotic if he starts
Noah backups Gasol who has killed it in the Euroball.
They're going to more or less produce like last year, except maybe a drop in defense, but their offense should be so much free-flowing now, it won't matter too much IMO.

i'd add more proven debt over their careers

I think Mirotic is the next Dirk. So glad I own him in a Dynasty league.

I don't really get how he could be stating opinion as fact? It's a future event. Unless you believe him to be a fortune teller it is obvious that is an opinion.

I wanted Hezonja had he fallen to us, and Stan probably liked him too, certainly more than Winslow.
If he cleans up his handles and defense, then he's going to be sniffing all-star caliber.

i still think SJ was the pick all the way. Soley based on his versatility. i think Hez was next in line. Kid is unusually explosive for a Euro and just plays like a baller. Most certainly needs to work on his handle, but he'll get by til then on just his shooting alone

Re: Around the League
I went to the Orlando Magic draft party at the Magic Arena and the people I was with had intel which told me who the Magic were drafting before the pick was made. I got us screaming Mario on video before the pick was announced as it was epic. Regardless, both Stanley and Mario have tremendous confidence which is rare for young players. They both will do very well in the NBA.

He's a selfish and egotistical maniac that's so cocky!
Nah, I'm kidding, I'm not going to go there again. Some people rightfully criticized Hezonja, but I think without a lot of context.

i still have concerns about him. He's young and if Orlando starts losing, i can see that attitude being a negative thing in the lockeroom. Time will tell, but its most certainly overblown.

ID took pictures of the bag and its contents, and the bag was handed over to Investigator Fowler along with $5,953 dollars in cash that was in Mr. Rice’s possession when he was shot and they were left inside the vehicle to be taken to property as evidence.
