I was expecting a tough 6-7 game series tbh. I never would of thought this team would bring the game so hard to the Cubs and sweep them! Stealing bases, taking chances, taking advantage of every opportunity, keeping composure, unafraid. What a performance!

They have to give this momentum going into the World Series! Don't hold back now. Go all out!

They really play great baseball. Classic National League ball. Really hope Cespedes is ok because he's the heart of it. Just a PROBLEM on both ends when he's in the play.

Congrats to the Metropolitans.

My father grew up a NY Giants fan. Mets came into town after they left to represent the NL, he brought me to shea several times.

I remember that place was always tough to get in and get out of. Always traffic.

Happy to see them in the WS with my Giants out.

Finish it off and take it home for NY.

Pithing + defense + timely hitting.

Edge to the Mets in the WS no matter who they face.

Yah. It was painful for us as Knicks fans though. I think what people mean when they say New York can't rebuild is that New York can't support a team that doesn't win or have "potential" for winning.

Anyway, moot point. Guess we're going to be rebuilding anytime soon, and that's the right choice.

I could not be more proud of this team, wow. As a Packers and Mets fan living in Chicago, it's impossible to describe how much this just enhanced my bragging rights. In 2010, I saw the Packers win the NFC in Soldier Field. Now, the Mets won the NL pennant in Wrigley Field. Couldn't make it up, if I tried. Go Mets.

Not really. A mid-season trade put you here. Before that trade the thought was you need to trade an arm for some bats.

The question remains, will you pay these guys you traded for? Murphy is a FA too I believe...

That to me is not rebuilding. It's renting.

the playoff game revenues should give us a little cash to go out there and hopefully keep our guys.

The problem is probably not Murphy you can give him the QO and that will make teams shy away by having to give the Mets there 1st round pick.

The tough one will be cespedes. Some desperate team like the Marlins will try to get him to sign a 7 year deal probably north of 150 million. That is a tough pill to swallow especially with the mets pitchers eventually needing to be locked up.

We honestly can continue to rent hitters as long as we keep our pitching together. Degrom, Harvey, Thor, Matz, and eventually Wheeler could be an all time great rotation. That is priority #1 because if those guys are locked up long term or 4 out of 5 are locked up long term you just need an adequate offense and you will be a year in and year out playoff contender.

It is amazing.. never thought I would see the day that Mets make it to the world series again. Last time I was only 3, which was too young for me to remember. Let's hope this means a good season for another orange and blue team!
