Wow, these suck.

Bledsoe is an offense oriented PG? Knight is a "longtime" PG playing as SG? Tucker is our best 3 PT shooter? No mention whatsoever of Warren or Len?

Not to mention that all our wins over replacement are decreasing from this year on, despite being a young team. For Chandler I understand that, but for Morris, Bledsoe and Knight I don't

They're strictly stats people over there. Well sometimes you'll find someone who actually knows something about basketball but this is an awful effort.

Leuer projected less minutes than Jefferson, somehow. I mean, if you look at the minutes distribution they have they probably aren't wrong saying we can't shoot.

But if you're analysing numbers, few do it better than 538. The problem is whoever wrote this has absolutely zero context about the team.

Simmons thinks we will parlay Tucker + a player and a draft pick for something this year. He feels he's the odd man out.

PJ's worth to the team is much less than last season since we've seen some progression from TJ and added Sonny (who I really love). Plus, we now have another vocal leader, so we know the locker room won't go silent if we trade him.

The real question is, who wants a PJ Tucker? Someone like Houston? Do the Thunder want a player like him? I have no idea.

I feel Tucker is a guy every contender and every playoff team wants but not willing to give up meaningful minutes for.

George looks absolutely fine. Not willing to give up Warren and Booker for a 25 year old 2 way star is laughable at the least.

For these two reasons alone I will miss Gerald Green in a Suns uniform. I hope Weems can step up and give us some explosiveness.

It's one of those "if the medical staff said George is fine, I'd do it", but with a little hesitation, because I am higher on Warren and Booker than most. if there were any red flags whatsoever with med staff, it would be tough to do, but we will be real lucky if Warren or Booker ever get close to where George is. Warren has many great skills though and he may end up having the scoring prowess of George, but he doesn't quite have the length and will likely never be close to the defender he is. I like Booker's energy while on D though. He kind of seems like a hound.

No need to worry really, Indy would never do that deal anyway.

Pacers wont trade George for a nice player in Warren and a prospect in Booker.... George is a proven star player (if healthy).

My ideal choice right now would be Ettore Messina. He's currently the Spurs assistant coach and has a ton of experience as a HC overseas as well and is regarded as one of the best European basketball coaches ever.

I want our next HC to be someone that stresses ball movement and defense. Someone like Mike Budenholzer who was the one that I was begging for back when we hired McD.

Back in regards to Messina, read this and tell me who wouldn't want him over Hornacek

http://www.denverstiffs.com/2015/3/11/8189423/coachs-resume-a-look-at-ettore-messina

http://www.thebirdwrites.com/2015/5/29/8679755/ettore-messina-pelicans-spurs-coach-demps-popovich

The biggest difference between the two is their personalities. While Hornacek is the type of guy who is really nice and wants to be friends with all his players, Messina is the type of guy who will bench you for remainder of the game and may next game as well if you aren't respectful in practice and games. He doesn't take crap, he won't let players walk all over him like Hornacek.

And imo that's exactly what this team needs right now. An authoritative HC.

Messina noooooo.... please...

I am writing from Spain.
He worked for ZSKA Moscow and made a ridiculous appearance in a Final 4 (European Euroleague Final with the best 4 teams of the continent).
Then he went to Real Madrid and his years there were a fiasco. Complete fiasco.

Then he got the offer to go to the US and nobody understood why.

Hornacek is not the coach we need. Messina much less...

I cannot see any european coach who could be a NBA HC right now. And in years to come.

Pre-injury George, different discussion, but rolling the dice on a post-injury George for two young players that are growing each day....is laughable!

Be real with it.

If healthy! Broken players have a track record of never being the same player after their injury and they stay shelved often (see Derrick Rose, Amare, Wilkins, Oden, Walton, Isaiah Thomas, Bird, McGrady, Ming, Manning, et al), so from that history, I will go with my stance, no.

It's funny how hope distorts reality.......

Good article by Zach Lowe. Simmons now is just doing podcasts, but they bring in as much as Grantland does
the annual revenue of Simmons’ podcast at $5 million — nearly the entire yearly revenue of the ESPN-owned Grantland, where he was formerly editor-in-chief.
