The commentary on James Storm was weird. Talked about WCW, I know he was in the Power Plant but I don't think he ever wrestled for WCW. They treated him like someone that you should know and the only reason anyone knows who he is, is because of TNA. But I'll stop being pedantic.

I mentioned Apollo Crews as a long shot option to be Cena's opponent. If I thought there was a one percent chance I'd bump that up to 4 or 5. Going to him and Balor so soon could be a way to write him off. And that video package was great, if he is going to the main roster they could play that on Monday without any sort of issues.

Joe's promo was strange. He sounded a little like the love child of The Rock and Chris Jericho.

The state of the NXT women's division right now is exactly why I think they should have held Becky Lynch back and given her a title run. They're doing absolutely **** all with her on the main roster and it's a crime that she never got a title run given that, in my opinion, she was the second best woman in the division behind Sasha Banks. I don't disagree that she was ready to move up, but moving her up and making her a glorified cheerleader for Charlotte is a waste of her talents. I would have preferred to give her another four to six months in NXT and then move her up after Charlotte and Sasha have had time to settle in.

Don't get me wrong...I think that Asuka has a ton of potential, but she still needs some time to adapt, and it probably doesn't help that most of her best potential opponents were just elevated to the main roster. Emma is solid enough but a little underwhelming as a character. Dana Brooke is still getting better and is a good heel but she's got a ways to go yet. Alexa Bliss is mediocre, as is Carmella. I haven't seen enough of Nia Jax to form an opinion one way or the other, although it could be interesting to have Bayley go against a monster heel if they go that route with her character (and it's one you don't see too often in the women's division). Peyton Royce and Billie Kay have some potential as well, but NXT hasn't really done anything with their characters so I know next to nothing about either of them.

The division just seems to be really weak right now. There's a lot of up-and-coming talent, but no one but Bayley at the top.

You think Alexa Bliss is just mediocre?

sidenote: Nia Jax needs a ton of work and I wonder if WWE might try re-creating Kharma with Nia.

A Bayley-Alexa Bliss program does feel like a step down from the last 18 months of programs in that division. But I actually think Alexa Bliss is a very good first program for Bayley. She's got that cheerleader, mean girl character down pat and is a really good first program contrast to Bayley. So I'm not quite as down on the program as you are, but it does definitely feel like a step back. Emma is definitely the best option they have and there's a really good story to tell with Emma there as the person who was in a lot of ways Bayley before Bayley and then went up to the main roster, failed and is now bitter about it. They sorta hinted at that in a backstage promo when she talked about how she started the Divas Revolution. But as of now they seem pretty content with making her Dana's sidekick.

I think that Alexa Bliss has a great character now but her in-ring work hasn't really impressed me. I am, of course, measuring her by the scale set by Sasha, Bayley, Becky, and Charlotte. Compared to them, I find her work mediocre. She's still better than the average WWE diva from the past ten years, but there's a new bar now.

I agree that it's a fine first program for Bayley. Every new champ needs some wins to validate their title run, and Alexa Bliss is someone who Bayley can beat without really hurting Bliss. Losing to a mega-popular face champion in her first major title defense is nothing to be ashamed about, and I can't see NXT giving the title to Bliss because she's just not ready. This isn't the Zayn/Owens situation where Owens came into NXT ready for the main roster (and I suspect his rivalry with Zayn was meant to continue and lead to the main roster but that got cut short due to Zayn's shoulder injury).

Alexa Bliss' ring work is what got her over initially. People didn't expect anything from her because her character was the cheesy little pixie fairy ****, and then she got in the ring and was actually really good, and got even better. Once she turned heel I think she put it all together. She's not so good that she can carry dead weight in the ring, but put her in there with someone who can also go and there's a really good match to be seen.

Jordan and Gable already look main roster ready. The WWE could use a tag team like them.

Gargano and Ciampo are great too.

Jordan and Gable are a dream. Literally too good to be true. The Jordan hot tag is the most intense hot tag I've seen since I don't know when. They are a thing of beauty.

I remember watching Gable in some small promotion before his 'NXT run and I said them the guy had the goods.

TNA's existence for several of their early years was based primarily around their feuds with each other.

you guys dont think that story is a little stale? We've seen it everywhere except under the WWE umbrella. There's not much freshness they can put on that thing.

Yeah, aside from putting a blond wig on Daniels, they've done everything. I think Bobby Rood would probably make the most sense of guys in TNA fitting in the WWE. Speaking of blond hair, that might work for Bobby? I'd like to see the Beer Money team go to the WWE. They're in their late 30's, so they're running out of time if it's ever going to happen.

now Beer Money is a rehash i would be willing to see play out in WWE especially considering that it would be highly unlikely Vince uses either one to their full potential as singles wrestlers.

I'd love Roode on the main roster in a strong spot near the top but that more than likely won't happen and I don't think Storm could pull off any of the singles stuff he did in TNA considering how much of his singles stuff was rooted in WWE characters like Austin and Wyatt.
