RIP Flip....I know many Wolves fans feel an incredible void. Flip will be missed by all NBA fans. I always found him humble and pleasant. I know my Lakers will definitely honor him with a moment of silence before the game.

All of my excitement and joy has been just completely destroyed. This season was supposed to be the one where NBA suits and media would nod in approval at all the changes Flip has made to the team. They will still do so but now only in memory of his vision.

That's how I feel, like the season is crap now. I was pumped as can be two days ago but now? I don't even feel like watching. The architect behind all that happiness and hope is gone.

Sam Mitchell put out a comforting line. Everything the Wolves are now IS Flip. He hired everyone. From the front office guys to the coaches. His legacy will carry on through them. Even down to the paper they use for the pamphlets! Flip had a hand in everything.

You have to guess Flip made a bunch of these decisions prior to getting treatment just in case something were to go wrong...

It just hit me that I'm going to be reminded of this every time I play 2k16.

RIP Flip. I'm still shook up with the news as I saw it when I woke up Monday morning (timezone difference) and I still have that empty stomach feeling up to today :(
Prayers go out to his family and friends. Let's hope the team carries on his memory by playing hard, night in and night out.

Still hasn't quite sunk in yet ... Flip was my coach at basketball camp waaaaaaaaaaay back in the day. Didn't know really him at the time, but when we got there, he was goofing around trying to dunk - close but no cigar. There were too many kids for the number of coaches, but Flip jumped up out of nowhere and volunteered to take our team. We had a blast :D  ... Been a Flip guy ever since.

RIP

The patch will be worn for the first time on Monday, November 2, as the Timberwolves open the home portion of the 2015-16 season against the Portland Trail Blazers at Target Center. The team will wear the patch for all home and road games for the balance of the season beginning on November 2.

In addition, the team announced it plans to wear a specially designed shooting shirt (warm-up shirt) during all games through the month of November. The shirt, which says “WE”, symbolizes the togetherness of the team and its commitment to unity over individualism. The shirt is gray with black lettering, with the name “Flip” across the heart side of the shirt.
