DETROIT VS UTH: USED TO BE "That one f* team"

Post#1 » by Blkbrd671 » Wed Oct 28, 2015 4:08 am

We play tomorrow on a b2b. as SVG would say

“It gives you something to build on,” he said. “But this league doesn’t give you any time to celebrate. You go home and play a very good team who’s been in Detroit, resting, tomorrow night. We’re one of the few teams – I don’t know how many others – to get their home opener on a back to back. We thank the league office for that. They always do take care of us.

Uth is one of those teams that for whatever reason steal wins from us.............i mean used to. I am truly confident in this team, and one of the ways they are going to prove it is tomorrow night. Tired legs are no excuse, i don't believe this team will make excuses . Effort is 100% mental.

Look forward to our boys playing at home.

Did Stan actually say that? Man he's a damn fine coach building up that detroit vs everybody tag. Also that's as close to saying something fine worthy as you can get. Damn!

This team is young. I can see Tolliver getting more minutes than Ilyasova in this game. Maybe Dinwiddie will play too

This will be a nice test for the young guys mentally. They'll be pretty happy with themselves after winning tonight, but they need to back it up. Utah is a good young team but Detroit needs to take care of business at home.

our bench didn't help us much this game, we are going to need them next. RJ only played 32 minutes this game and illy. i think the b2b is over emphasized for now since we are at the beginning of the season. They boys still should have their legs

I have a good feeling about this game. But, for one, we need the Bench to step up big time as the starters won't have the same energy level as last night. And, we need to continue to crash the boards for every single rebound. Then, just play solid defense as Utah is not an offensive juggernaut. Detroit vs Everybody!

I think Drummond winning the matchup with Gobert is the key.

Ersan and Favors will be intriguing as well.

I think this one is up to RJ. Not that he has to score a ton of points though. Quite the opposite. He should be able to get by Burke at will. He needs to make good decisions with the ball. They have 2 bigs that like to go after shots, so if RJ plays under control, we should get a lot of open looks for our forwards.

This game kinda scare me a little because I team seem to always play lazy after a back to back

We really need to take care of home before we go on that six game road trip

I'm also a little worried about this game because 1) it's the Utah Jazz and we suck against them 2) Gobert and Favors are gonna be a handful

I'm more so worried about our guys getting ahead of themselves.
Utahs frontcourt is pretty crazy. Illy, Toliver and Morris are going to have their hands full.
Drummond needs another big game.
