It will be next to impossible to get him from the Bulls for the next few years. I wonder though if we could somehow get Dario Saric from the Sixers? For you European posters how does Saric's game compare to Mirotic?

I don't know how Saric compares to Mirotic but I did read that Saric (and his dad) want no part of the Sixers and they will at least wait until he wouldn't fall under the rookie scale and could negotiate his own contract (which, if that's the case, he might do with any team).

So Barbosa finally got his ring.

Who would have thought that Marion and Barbosa would end up with rings while Amare and Nash end up without...

Those who believe defense wins championships. Not that Barbosa was much of a defender, but he could be a little pesky, and he had some moments....Doc Rivers actually was impressed with his D when he played for the Celtics.

I can't believe the Pelicans active players tonight. I mean they started Kendrick Perkins and Nate Robinson, but Ish Smith actually has played most of the minutes at PG. They also started Dante Cunningham who is decent, but they must be really banged up. They have 7 active guys, and other than the four I named it is only Gordon, AD, and Alexis Ajinca. When you only have seven healthy guys and Eric Gordon is one of them, and those other journeymen are there, you could be in trouble fast.

Amazing enough, even though Curry is on fire, it is only a 4 pt game almost midway through the 2nd.

Predict AD will ask for a trade in 2-3 years if Pels cannot surround him with legit talent.

Tyreke, Jrue, Anderson and Gordon are all pretty legit. I doubt he asks for a trade. When a city embraces you and that is where you begin your career, unless you are a diva, like Kobe or Melo and want to be in a huge market, that is rare. Plus I think guys love playing for Gentry. Also, he will get a monster contract for his second contract, so I doubt that happens, but I guess you never know.

Also, I guess Ryan Anderson and Gee checked in eventually, and it is kind of weird on a Gentry coached team that Anderson didn't check in sooner but I guess the team was playing better before he checked in. AD not shooting well tonight either.

I'm not too surprised. They are still under the salary floor. They're going to pay one way or the other.

1-16 FG, 66% FTs, 4 TOs, only 5 Rebs...

Pelicans call Suns offering Davis for Kieff. Suns hang up laughing.

God no.

I'd rather see what Warren can do than pay Barnes and his 14-7 ceiling $100m over 5...

The Pelicans (and by extension the New Orleans Saints) have THE worst medical staff. These problems have been going on for years. They need to bring in a staff that focuses on preventive care like the Suns do. If anything makes AD bolt NOLA it will be the fact that they can't keep anyone healthy.

And some of you said Pau can't play defense.

To be fair, he was fouling James almost the whole time. You can't lean on a player like that. It should have been a blocking foul.

I respectfully disagree.

It seems both James and Gasol were leaning into each other. James' shot was off balance because he jumped while moving. He had 100% control, Gasol just stuck with him, cut off the direct route to the basket and blocked the shot.

But I am kinda biased. Because I want Cleveland to DIE DIE DIE lol

I partly agree. The initial contact should've been called but from then on, I thought there was some contact but not worthy of being called a foul.

Well I wasn't bias, it was a foul. Once Gasol, made the contact with the side of his body, it was a blocking foul. Now if James made contact into Gasol's chest, then I could see the no call. But there was a ton of contact, and Gasol was late. Foul, with no bias, for I don't care for either of them, just basketball.

Gasol was late, and the contact(blocking foul) is what slowed James down so Gasol could get better position. The initial foul should have been called. The block was fairly clean, although Gasol was still maintaining contact from the initial blocking, but that wouldn't often be called, well unless the Suns were doing it.
