Absolutely stoked. Living on the east coast now, so it's going to be a long season staying up late to watch these games! LOL

Unlike last year, I expect us to compete and have a real shot at beating any team we play. I believe Blake is going to have a tough time at the rim against our bigs. Should be a fun battle between Jordan/Blake and the combo of DMC/WCS/2k

My keys:

Defensive:
Limit second chance opportunities
Defensive transition (find JJ and stop the ball early)
Get stops!! DUH lol

Offensive:
Great tempo to our offense
Great shot selection
Get easy points

East coast guy here as well, so I'll have to pass the time by studying and getting in a quick sim on NBA2K16. Anyhow, I couldn't be more excited about this season. We'll take our lumps but I don't feel like we have to worry about getting blown out by these elite teams anymore. I'm looking forward to see what Rondo can do for guys like Ben and WCS. Speaking of WCS, he's going to be a huge help for Boogie! Let's go KINGS!!!!

Rudy still questionable? Although it should be really interesting match up, I'm excited to see how Rondo is going to play with Cuz and pretty much everybody, how much time WCS will get and his progression/role. Excited!

The main things to watch are spacing, transition D, and pick and roll defense. I'm interested to see how the Clippers will defend a lineup of Rondo, Cuz, and Koufos out there. Cuz didn't seem to really fit into the scheme all preseason so hopefully in the last 10 days they put in some stuff to get him going rather than just hanging out being a spacer for the guards. If he is though he needs to take the open shots when they are there. I'd also like to see Koufos get a chance to take Griffin in low if Griffin is on him. Maybe get him in foul trouble early.

Rudy better play, otherwise this is going to be tough.

I'm worried about foul trouble if Cousins is on Blake. I'd rather them start WCS or Rudy at the 4 to let Cousins stay in the paint.

We should see a great game through and through though as long as we don't screw ourselves. Both benches are capable, lots of "pride", a little animosity.

If Karls reason for not starting WCS is because of his having to guard Griffin I would think the player taking his spot would be guarding him. Cuz did a decent job in his rookie year but yeah, probably not ideal.

People really underestimate Koufos' agility, intelligence and athleticism. He has the ability to guard Griffin and turn him into what we want him to be offensively, a jump shooter. If they have to rely on Blake shooting 30-35% in midrandge jumpers rather then going to him on the block where DMC or 2K will own him then we win. DMC and 2k likewise are good pick and roll defenders and that is another way CP3 will try to get Jordan and Griffin in the game so that is a plus for us. Our guys can switch off with their bigs with little differences. Now is where we see if we can prevent them from running away from us and getting dunks on breaks.

Also we shouldn't overlook the PF match up at least to start the game. Rudy should have his way with Pierce or Lance as he has the last few years when they matchup. Rudy is just too big for Lance and too quick for Paul on either end. Look for him to have a big game.

WCS coming off the bench well likely see minutes vs Josh Smith and Cole Aldrich. He will be tested on the perimeter and down low. Let's see what we have.

Our keys defensively should be :
Help defense on screens and pick and rolls to prevent CP3 from finding JJ and Pierce for open jumpers and Jordan and Griffin open at the rim.
Crash the boards and protect the ball to prevent their bigs from running the floor on fast breaks.

The bench back court matchup will be interesting with Jamal Crawford and Marco Belinelli capable of taking over games and seeing how Rivers defends DC and vice versa. Could be the X factor.

The main event is gonna be the chess match between Karl and Rondo and Doc and CP3.

Can't wait!
MAKE IT MAKE SENSE!

OK so far failure number two. They have to start hitting shots, the Clipps are doing exactly what you would have expected, just packing the paint so thick there are no driving lanes.

Great to see Cuz hit that 3. Have to take them if they are going to leave him that wide open.
