I'm not really convinced hyper athletes are the cure for this team to trend upwards anyways. We need guys that are consistently willing to play team ball and have great understanding of the game.

Definitely ^^^! His athleticism (only looking at speed, agility, jumping) isn't elite, but it's good.

But it ticks upwards quite a bit because of each of the following: his great strength (and knowing how to use his strength to his advantage - which is even more important than useless Orlando Woolridge type big muscles), his fundamentals, his BB IQ (which might be off the charts, and which allows him to move 1/2 step or more faster than his opponents), and his competitiveness.

So how does one evaluate athleticism. I think you have to fold in my second paragraph into my first paragraph to do a proper evaluation. His solid athleticism becomes excellent athleticism in my book. Now, take a LeBron, and you combine all that IQ and drive and anticipation into superior strength and superior speed, agility and jumping, and you have a GOAT conversation going. There have been like about 10 guys all time who maybe fit here - probably fewer. LeBron, MJ, Chamberlain, Oscar, come immediately to mind.

Hyper athletes tend to end up with the more catastrophic injuries as they push the limits of what ligaments can endure. Being that stanley isn't top tier in athleticism, he'll player smarter and hopefully stay on the court longer.

You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.
Weaver & Casey, govern yourselves accordingly!
