Walker, Batum, Hairston what what? A combined 5 points or something?

Lol.

Heat just laughing at our offseason.

You guys wanted the NBA-ready player in the draft. That's cool, we took Winslow a pick later
You didn't even use your MLE? Honestly, that's weird and makes no sense after hardcapping yourselves with the Lin signing. But hey, we just used our MLE on Gerald Green.

This site is terrible. I'm probably gonna register at Hornets Planet. They apparently have a game chat going.

Winslow showing flashes as to why we should have drafted him.

Winslow we could have had. Gerald Green seems like he would have not returned our calls.

"Stoudemire says he will play Friday in Cleveland. He says he will play in the big games."

I mean, season opener is kinda important.

First Half observations:

Offense wouldn't be bad if we didn't miss a lot of open 3's like we did. Batum and Frank looked nervous. Kemba looks like a spazz and once again decides to dribble for 5 seconds, drive a few feet into the 3 point arc and jack up a long 2 that clanks. Time is near the end for my Kemba patience and maybe being benched will send a message.

Defense is gonna be a problem. They are fighting but we have no one inside to challenge shots. Winslow clearly pissed that we passed on him for Kaminsky and we are feeling it.

no rim protection, whatsoever... big AL is like a load meat sitting there, doing nothing to protect the rim...
The MKG effect is showing
Lin was screened by too easily, the winslow and green drives were result of both lin and big AL bad defense

Winslow dominating Batum was really depressing... Almost every single time Batum touches the ball he immediately looks for an Al post iso. I can see why he has always been a disappointing player.

The PJ experiment kind of worked, and I actually thought Clifford staggered the rotation beautifully, but the end of the second quarter was a perfect example of when he needs to not close with Al when the game starts playing out like that. He wasnt getting good shots and the combination of he and Zeller killed the spacing for our guards, making it difficult for Kemba and Lin to do anything. Clifford has to sub him out for a floor spacer in those situations so we can get the ball moving and let our guards drive and dish. Thats really my only criticism of Clifford that half, but its a pretty big one.

I liked how we took advantage of single coverage on Al early, but when it stagnates we have to go for a different look and use our newfound movement and passing.

Thank god we invested in shooting in the off season, enabled us to hit that second 3 for the half

clifford subbed in Hairston after those two dunks, but he immediately gave up two threes by green.

Charlotte players look like theyre being overwhelmed. Offense jacking up bad shots, defense they're not sticking to their assignments. The wings are getting screened off too easy and the interior defenders aren't moving fast enough to challenge lanes thus leading to so many lay ups and dunks.

At this point i'd have the guards go under and pray the Heat go cold on the perimeter, cuz this layup line bull needs to stop.

Al just doesn't fit in our offense or defense. Problem is, not that many good rim protectors anymore.

Biyombo picked up 2 quick fouls and airballed twice. Not losing sleep on that one so far.

Batum played wayyyyy too timid. Kemba is definitely not used to a team offense.

Eventually Coach Clifford will figure out that his best defensive big is nailed to the bench...or maybe not for a few weeks.
