Well, if you look at it in a positive way, we shot the ball like dog****, played Alfense for a good 10 minutes, took 12+ long 2's at a 20%FG rate like idiots, and still almost won this game.

I don't like Clifford not playing Kaminsky. If he can't get minutes, no rookie (sans top3 picks) can't get them for Clifford I guess. Why the hell do we draft him in the first place if we go on to sign Hawes (who basically does the same exact things) and use him instead? But, alright, for all I know, Clifford's job might indeed be in jeopardy if things don't go well and Kaminsky might have had the same zeros across the board if he got 12 minutes.

But I like sticking with the Batum-Lin-Kemba line-up with Zeller as the center. I don't think Cliff would have done this a year ago. Al would have been subbed in during that time-out at the 5-minute mark.

I'm glad to see that change in his game management.

Nice job leaving Deng, Marvin. ...

i mean, ****, it all started with goddamn Batum getting INSTANTLY passed by Wade simply dribbling to his left. I mean ****. from there it was all help defenders helping and of course they are going to find the three. what the ****, Batum? I didn't know he was so horrendous at sliding his feet. a damn shame with his long length.

Damnit, Kemba should have recovered to Dieng when the ball went to Dragic in the corner. Terrible time to make that mistake.

Batum's overrated defense at work. Somehow didn't expect Wade suddenly driving and let him by while standing with his knees not bent.

Sooo much more space with this lineup. Lin waltzed to the rim with erveryone glued to our "shooters".

All things considered, we look pretty good when we can't miss.

Wonder if Al on the bench is how we will close out games. That'd be nice.

AL doesn't fit in at all with what we're trying to do. Would like to see Hawes instead of Marvin with that closing group.

Al is too slow for this Heat defense. When his shot is not connecting, which had been the case since preseason, the defenders don't even bother paying much attention to him, since he moves so slowly anyways. That creates a lot of problem for our shooters. And heat is a very athletic team, they close on shooters so fast. The closing unit should have been the starters in my opinion. Cody moves much better and can help create space for penetration into the paint, and provide room for shooters at the perimeter.

A second later Wade was already besides him.

So Coach, we noticed you had a lot of success running with a quicker lineup to close the game with Al on the bench. Any chance we see more of this going forward?

"Well, uh...you see. Really we just wanted to keep Al fresh for the next game. Being down 20, the game is pretty much over at that point. In fact I was hoping to give Noah some minutes down the stretch, but we hadn't hit the 30-point threshold just yet. But yeah, that unit managed to cut it to 5, unfortunately they couldn't cut it to 0. They probably could have if we played Al at the end. He's our best player, y'know."

Hawes was abysmal defensively tonight. Marvin was actually solid. Marvin was the least of our problems tonight.

I hope he is talking like that because of politics. Al is too slow for this hornets team, especially when facing a very physical opponent like the Heat. They need Cody at Center, who can run, set screen and do PnR dunk, and stretch the floor when necessary.

3 point shooting is still very inconsistent for most of the players. Lin needs to start, he is by far the most consistent shooter on the team. How ironic we lose the game by their 3 point shooting, and we were suppose to be the better 3 point shooting team.

This team has a looooong way to go. Clifford has no idea what lineups he wants to play. Our spacing was a wreck but we kept hoisting threes to no avail. We aren't going to shoot 6-24 from deep every game.

Winslow would've been perfect for this team sans MKG. damn...

He yanked Al for being too slow on D but I like to think part of it was he was getting tunnel vision on offense, showing zero intention to pass out of double teams. The Heat collapsed on him and we became too predictable.

Not saying he had a good game, but his points per shot was actually slightly better than Al's.
