Wade did avg a lot more points than winslow will but because he had a lot of play run up for him also. Wade was constantly attacking the rim, whereas Winslow hangs out more in the corner to not be in the way.

Winslow is a better creator than Wade was in his rookie season and seems a lot more fluid. You may recall Wade led the league a lot of times in turnover because he was forced to create a lot without a jumpshot.

Wade was able with time and dedication to create a half decent jumpshot, I have faith that Winslow will do the same.

I can't wait for two-three years from now when Winslow is our starting SF

CMon man, I am happy to have Winslow and im confident he will turn out to be a fine player. But it has nothing to do with what he asked to do. He is definitelly NOT a better creator than Wade when coming to the league LOL. If he could do what Wade could do when coming to the league they would ask him to do it. Wade was thrust into being the Heat starting Point Guard his rookie yr. As of right now he is not DWade at all. As of right now, my expectations is for him to become something like Caron Butler until he develops and show me something different.

I feel like Butler is more like a Paul Pierce type of forward. Winslow has some shiftiness like Harden and Wade--but he's bigger than those guys and isn't as explosive as Wade--it's hard to predict how good he'll be, but you'd like to think he'll be with Whiteside the cornerstone of a future contender. Or at least one of those teams like the pacers with George that annoys the crap out of whatever team the best player in the league is playing on at the time.

Video from the Houston game a few days ago, guess it was late. First two assists were from very good reads of the defense and alert thinking(still doing very well from the top of the key), all the others were more of making the extra pass plays. We need him to be more aggressive offensively tho, he's a smart player and will find away to affect the game either way but him not taking shots likely won't be good for his progression as a offensive player. I'm hoping him not going to a sorry team where he can hoist up shots and get starter minutes doesn't effect his development. They've got to keep him engaged offensively somehow, and get him to keep taking open looks/drives in the lane or give him a bigger role like PG

Interested in seeing his role 5 games into the season...

[Reynolds] Justise Winslow will endorse Excell Auto Group. He'll be paid to drive Bentley, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Porsche, Rolls-Royce, etc.

This dude is about to DROWN in an ocean of grade A South Floridian vagina. 19 years old and he's getting paid to drive super cars and exotics. That is the American Dream.

The fact that he's also got the looks can't hurt his case though... I mean look who Ennis's sorry ass was able to get.

His game has changed since then I would say, I think finding a way to get him to use his elite athleticism/explosiveness to his advantage is going to take time. Not sure if it's a good problem to have or not, he's got all the intangibles to be a great player... let's hope we can get him there

I think a great problem to have. In HS and some what in College, Winslow like many great players knew they could just out jump you and use his explosiveness to score and play d. He got to Duke and Coach K made him a more complete player. He was only there for half a year and you can only learn so much. Now he is facing some of the best athletes in the world, so he can't just get away with it. Time will come, he is only 19 years old. As I've said since talking to him several time, he understands what he needs to do. At 19, he is a boy among men. He will improve and learn the game as it goes. The bright side is we have a Super Star in front of him, we don't neeed him to be great NOW, he can learn from one of the greats. By the time its time to turn off the reigns, he will be a few years in and it will be the right time. Good problem for HEAT. this is why Riley is great. He does things for today and long term.

You're telling me that you think Justise is bad looking? I mean I'm not saying he's a model or anything but he's a sharp looking guy.

What? Why do you get so defensive about Justise's look?

First of all, I think he's good-looking enough to be a male model. Tall, handsome, and chiseled body...

I just said he looks like Don King's son in that picture (especially with that rising hair).
Young (and skinnier) Don King was not an ugly dude, and if he knocked up a Halle Berry or a Naomi Campbell, I bet his son would be a one good-looking guy. Personally I think Justise is the most handsome dude on Heat this year. Of course McBob's quite dreamy to church ladies with that Jesus look.

Loved his activity on the floor last night. The team just worked a lot better when he was on the court. He always seemed to be at the right place/right time, and rarely made a mistake. Like Spo said, what he does doesn't show on the stat sheet (yet) but it is very impressive for a 19 year old. Only negative was that I felt he was too passive at times when he could have driven the lane or taken an open jumper, that he would think about it too much and pass it off to somebody else.

I can't wait until he's confident with his offensive game and starts to take over.

EXACTLY

I loved his contribution, he helped blow the game open.

He's really the anti-Beasley : low usage, hard working, high IQ player.

He's only a 19 year old rook but the BB IQ is easy to see, he might not shine in every game his first year but he's the type of player that would very rarely hurt his team, he's already looking savvy out there, playing with poise and calm.

I can already tell he's going to be a good play maker and passer 9because of his handle, speed and high IQ/court vision), he just needs to be more aggressive with time.

I pray that Spo pushes him to take a bigger role on the offensive end and not limit him to a 3&D role.

I went to check the plus/minus stats as soon as the game was over, just to see if the results matched the eye test. Yep. Even more than I imagined actually.

I said before the draft and I'll say it again. You guys got a steal. Expect an offensive trajectory like Kawhi Leonard. He's got a good base to build off on and in about 3 years he will be good enough to be the man. I think you all saw it yesterday and some have already said it, the team just plays better with him out on the floor. The dude can make the biggest impact without scoring 15+. He's so smart and his motor is insane. You add that to his physical abilities it's a scary combination. He's the definition of a stat sheet stuffer, you'll be watching and all of a sudden you see he's got 7 rebounds, 3 steals, 4 assists and a block. He was a top 5 talent in this draft

I loved Justise's defense on Lebron. He was disciplined beyond his years. Lebron made tough shots, but Justise had nice contests. Impressed.
