Noah for Vuc?

Post#1 » by BlueBalls » Thu Oct 29, 2015 2:35 pm

Actually think it makes some sense.

This is a complete hypothetical, fyi. Not grounded in any rumors or actual scuttlebutt.

Noah doesn't seem to fit Hoiberg's plan. But he'd be a great fit for Skiles.

Vucevic would fit in a lot better in a Hoiberg offense.

Magic would instantly be, perhaps, the best defensive team in the league. We would miss Nik's scoring, but Noah can hold his own in the paint and it would probably end up resulting in a lot more shots for AG.

Just spitballing here. Thoughts?

Yes, let's trade our potential 25 year old all-star center for a guy five years older on the downside of his career who has trouble staying healthy every season. Even better is Noah is only signed through this year so it'll just be a rental and we can get some cap space afterwards.

I thought Vuc played good team defense yesterday. Of course he gets blamed for the Wall shot at the end but that's a superstar making a great play.

Yeah I thought Vuc looked much more active in the paint defensively. Give Skiles a chance with him.

He'll never be a high-flyer that can challenge last second shots like that, but you can't have everything.

The only reason some are bitching is because of the last play where Wall scored on him pretty easily. The rest of the game he got to his spots quickly, gave effort and even got a couple of blocks. Let Skiles do his thing... it's working.

Based on some comments about noah...i'd say no.

Apparently Noah cant even dunk anymore. And his injuries has taken a toll on him.

Also, he doesnt fit into the long term plan of this team. If we wanted Noah, we wpuld have taken Wcs in the draft, imo.

Only took one regular season game to create a thread wanting Vuc to be traded. Impressive.

Calm down! Damn some of you. I'm not down on Vucevic or anything, and I know it wouldn't be a 1-1 deal. Just thinking out loud.

OK, so you want to trade a guy who played at an All-Star caliber level last year for a guy who is constantly battling plantar fasciitis and got benched for Nikola Mirotic. Noah isn't that dude anymore

Oh, screw it. The irony is something to behold, however. People overreacting to a perceived overreaction on my part.

Have it your way. C'est la vie.

The above bolded lines all show that you at least think this is a reasonable argument to be made. Never once do you mention the intention to include other players coming to Orlando. You basically suggest a 1 for 1 swap and give a few supporting arguments. Not to mention, you're the one who initially suggested it with this thread.

Not sure why you think people are overreacting or are wrong to call you out for this nonsense. Take it in stride though, we've all been there. We'll all forget by Friday night.
