We "could" potentially be 0-6... Just brace yourself.

New Orleans isn't scaring anyone right now. I'm not that worried about Toronto either to be honest. We could beat both of those teams.

Which makes that choke job last night all the more devastating.

I think we'll win at least one of the next 5. But if we don't, losing the first 8% of our games is not exactly a good way for a team with playoff aspirations to come out of the gate.

FWIW, it is and has been my position that we're not sniffing the playoffs this year.

Hell, the Rockets game could be winnable. They just lost to the Nuggets of all teams at home by 20!

Entirely possible. I hope people retain some perspective and remember that a slow start, especially against a strong bunch of teams, doesn't preclude a playoff challenge in the East. You can start 0-10 and if you play .500 ball the rest of the way you've got a chance at the 8th seed.

Nah, you are just incredibly pessimistic, Mr. Noah for Vuc.

It's a tough opening schedule, not every 6 games we play will be against 6 playoff teams.

I'd trade going 0-6 if we emerge with a sustainable top 10 defense. (And some free throw attempts, but I'm trying to be reasonable.)

I think New Orleans at HOME after a brutal road trip will be the hardest game. Just because they lost their 1st two doesn't mean they all of a sudden suck. Magic will most likely get whupped worst this game out of first six.

I can handle the losses if our team is hustling, fighting and looks like it's making improvements each game, like it did last night against the Wiz. And I'm confident we will continue at last night's level.

I'd still love a couple upset wins though! We always seem to turn it up against OKC, so maybe we can steal that one for an early surprise?

Let's hope the Pelicans have a horrible season and Anthony Davis demands a trade because they haven't improved enough, and because their logo/mascot is a freaking Pelican.
