Clipper bench getting the job done. I like how we're sharing the ball.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

yeah I really thought Doc did a great job piecing together a bench on the fly. Was really interested to see how it actually looked on the court. Obviously a depleted mediocre at best Mavs team isn't the biggest challenge, but I've been impressed. Still think one more big would help against the size most of the West contenders have, but maybe Aldrich will prove up to the task.

Good win and we didn't have to play the starters in the 4th. Clippers looked good at home. We need that to continue on Saturday.

been thinking it for a while but austin's improvement might be just as much of an x-factor as josh smith's contributions.
doc is going to need to run a lot of starting unit drills with lance if they want to make him work. i have faith he can make an impact as a starter while keeping our bench flowing more evenly, but not if tonight's lance shows up again.

Damn, was following this online while working and out of nowhere it became a blowout.
Bench must have played well I guess.

Game was fun.
Still amazed at what Ballmer and his team has done for the atmosphere at the game.
Very disappointed in Mark Cuban's comments. They were completely unnecessary. I'm pretty sure this whole forum and every Laker/ Warrior fan I know in real life will enjoy the hell out of those comments but I expect a little more from an NBA owner. Moreover, DeAndre had a change of heart. Focus your anger where it needs to be. DeAndre.

Mark Cuban made it rich while still being a kid,(I consider 20 somethings still a kid, sorry) so he will always be a kid at heart. people who succeed without trial and tribulation into their middle ages tend to be stuck in arrested development regardless of their financial wealth. just look at Donald Trump. you give a kid 40 million to start his life, he will always be that kid.
ehhhhh f it.

We've played two games, and in both games a prominent member of the opposing team has gone out-of-their-way to take a shot at us...we all better get tougher-skin, because I have a feeling opposing teams are going to line-up to get their cheap-shots in on a weekly basis.

Fine with me. Both comments have been my members of a team who are below us. Take all the shots they want, I don't care.

Yeah I'm kind of loving all the hate when it comes from frustrated dudes that just got their ass kicked tbh. You won't see the Spurs or the Thunder takin that sort of shots. Keep it comin tho, it'll just make every win the sweeter.
Kind of sad that Lance and Jamal seem to be more out of place every minute they play here, they just don't fit anywhere and I hope they don't end the season with us. Wes, Smith and Pierce on the other hand, have been a lot better than I expected them to, and I can't help but think they should be taking the minutes the other two are getting. Blake is just nasty.
I'm so glad basketball is back

well he said it before the kicking commenced. (tho it was inevitable). But don't lump everyone in with Cuban. Rick and Dirk had very different things to say after the game. Like Dirk says--for it to be a rivalry we have to win our fair share....

I'd love for Cuban to stop getting in these stupid pissing matches, but I'm resigned to the fact that he's not. This was definitely one of the stupider things he's had to say.

Yeah it was not a dig at you Mavs fans or anything, just a thought in general about the all around hate. Like Cousins needing to make his feelings known to the media yesterday and whatever. You hate us? well get in line, we don't have time for you, there's more important people also throwin shade at us.
Basically, let's embrace the hate.

nice win. lance looked lost and his defensive effort was poor. I hope this is not a pattern. one good one bad. liked the way the second unit played more as a real team. I hope Austin's shooting can continue.

Re: Dallas Mavericks (1-0) @ Los Angeles Clippers (1-0)
Nice decisive win, although the depleted Mavs were able to keep it close for awhile.
Blake scored 26 points in 26 minutes. Probably could have had 30 if he didn't miss a couple of open jumpers that he usually hits. Very impressive start to the season so far.
That whole DJ/Dirk thing... I think DJ should've toned it down a bit. I know it was an accident, but he did give Dirk an MMA elbow to the head. I couldn't stop laughing when Kenny Smith said DJ was screaming "Yeah Yeah" because he was going to shoot freethrows
Jamal actually looked pretty good out there (can't believe I'm actually saying that). I guess that is the benefit of having more offensive firepower off the bench. He doesn't have to try to carry the bench by himself when he doesn't have the ability to. Now he can pick his spots.
I liked the energy that Wes brought. He's plays pretty similar to Barnes (athletic, brings defense and hustle), but isn't as good of a 3 point shooter. I'm okay with that. Rivers had a good game on both sides of the court as well.
We play the Kings again on Saturday. I think we should be able to keep the momentum going and go for win number 3.

Re: Dallas Mavericks (1-0) @ Los Angeles Clippers (1-0)
i wouldn't worry. simply because lance stephenson is not a 6'7" shooting guard named jamal crawford, so he's going to have a pretty tight leash if he has another game like tonight.
my guess is cp3 will try to get him the ball a little earlier in the 1st quarter to keep him a little more involved. either way he's got to figure out how to be more aggressive. from what i understand he's kind of going out of his way to fit in with the starters, but taking his game too far down from what he's used to isn't going to help anyone.

Cuban is doing what cuban does. I'm sure he doesn't believe what he said, and it was more of an in the heat of the moment type of thing.
He is still a great owner. He just hates us right now. He can just get in line.

i'd say that's the default status when you have the dj fiasco/lance trade/pierce signing all at once lol
