Deron Williams was showing shades of his old Utah self, and then freakin' gets injured.

Basketball is like poetry in motion, cross the guy to the left, take him back to the right, he's fallin back, then just J right in his face. Then you look at him and say, "What?" - Jesus Shuttlesworth

Ricky had a hell of a game. What a way to honor Flip.

If he can consistently make his jumpers like he did tonight..league ****.

I'm not a fan of how flat his 3 pointers are. Mid range is looking much better but his mechanics still leave a lot to be desired, leading me to believe there's a risk he won't be consistent. Love Rubio though so I hope he can add the jumper to his game.

Leonard is slowly starting to become the SF version of Tim Duncan, non flashy yet super effective old mans game.

Not sure what to make of Porzingis but he is looking like he could be better than JV and Bargs. Early days yet and it is the Knicks..

DeRozan might be better than Carmelo now, which speaks more about how trash Melo is now. He's basically a Rudy Gay that's slightly better at making contested jumpers and doesn't play defense.

I imagine Carmelo is just going through the motions. Probably not wise to compare him considering his situation. I like Porzingis.

Nice to see Dwight Powell getting some burn. Barea attacks Pierce, which every team should do when he's on the court.

Carmelo with 25 points on 27 shots after 11 points on 16 shots his first game. If they owned their pick, I bet they'd trade him this year. He's 31, the team is going nowhere and a Melo trade is their best bet to a true rebuild. Of course, they won't do any of this.

Porzingis looks like he'll be a legit player in this league. Thankfully their draft pick is in play this year and not in the future when his body fills out a bit more.

Just a hunch, but I get the feeling Lou and Kobe aren't going to get along at all. :) Kobe isn't as dazzled by Lou's pimp daddy posing as the Raptors players were.

The fact that they have Kobe, Swaggy P and Lou all on the same team is awesome! Not gonna help them win games, but it's awesome. That combination is going to make it really tough for Russell to show what he can do until they all get hurt later on in the season.

Posted in the general board...

One of my favorite players to ever watch, an important architect to how the NBA is changing today and two time MVP to add on, Steve Nash is going to be honored in Phoenix tonight.

Minny starting 2-0. Towns 28-14 2 blk in his 2nd game ever. 1st Legit #1 pick in like 5 years.

I'm impressed with T-Wolves startegy. Instead of full on tanking, they have added some veteran players to help their young players. KG/Prince/Andre Miller is solid veteran group. They may actually challenge for 8th spot in the west.
