While I can't imagine Atlanta would have much appetite for that deal, I think you should start a Trade Ideas thread for the board.

If Atlanta has a bad 1st half or gets off slowly, it would be more enticing. Schroder apparently wants to be a starter and said he would look elsewhere ...he did say that he would be patient, but for how long. i'd add tjones to the deal too.......bev, kj, tjones, 2nd rd pick....jeff teague is another player that i like if the hawks keep schroeder instead.

These guys need to play better and make better decisions.

Lawson was turning the ball over too. He had a Lin-like stat-line. 12/6 with a mediocre ast-tov ratio of only 2.0, and shooting just 3/10. He is not a good defender too. So like I said b4, Beverley should start the game, he is the better fit. Lawson can still get his 30-32 mins off the bench basically playing the whole second half. He would average more than 15 pts and 5 ast per game as a sixth-man.

But that's not the norm for Lawson. I believe he was top 5 in Assist to Turnover ratio last year. He's still adjusting to a new team. The defense is an issue however

Yeah let's see where they're at at the deadline. Obviously Lawson needs time to fit in and has a history of being a high level player.

I'm more worried about the defense.

Ty Lawson plays like Ty Lawson, and Rockets get a win

By Jonathan Feigen on November 3, 2015 at 2:54 PM

After three games mostly spent trying to stay of out of the way, Rockets guard Ty Lawson found another way. For the first time with his new team, he played much as he always had for his old team, putting together his best, most assertive performance with the Rockets.

“Ty got in the paint a whole bunch again which we needed him to do,” Rockets coach Kevin McHale said after Lawson had 14 points and 11 assists on Monday in a win over Oklahoma City.

With that, he found what he was doing wrong when he intentionally tried to not do too much.

“I didn’t want to step on their toes, make sure I didn’t mess up the system,” Lawson said. “But I feel like me not being as aggressive as I was was messing up the system. So, now I’m getting in the paint, just playing my game.”

This is what the Rockets wanted from Lawson all along, a point James Harden made to Lawson before Monday’s game when Lawson had tentatively made 28.6 percent of his shots with just five assists through his first three games.

“I just tried to tell him, ‘be aggressive,’ ” Harden said. “Sometimes, he’s like too relaxed. ‘Attack. Do what you do. That’s why you’re here. You’re here to be aggressive and you’re here to make plays for us. Never feel like you’re doing too much.’ ”

Totally agree. He's been trying to fit in, but as he gets his groove, so will Houston.

i hate it too but they need to keep the starting lineup as it is right now. dont give up too soon. a lotta flukes happened in the first 3 games.

agreed
the big 3 need time to play together to grow the chemistry
i hope howard is not taking any game off again
that will make the matter worse

yeah they should stop treating howard like old man tim duncan. he cant miss 20 games cuz of b2bs, thats crazy. he's already bound to miss 5-10 with random injuries. we're top 5 in most b2bs this season, so thats easily 20 games missed for howard when u combine injuries and b2bs. dont forget suspensions. thankfully its just the begining of the seaosn so it probably just being safe.

The Rockets offense still looks a little unorthodox for Lawson as he adapts his game but this has incredible potential.

Clearly easy choice is Lawson. Beverley might be a fan favorite but to be honest the guy is not that good. And his "defense" is very overrated. I do like the hustle and passion he has for the game, which I think its what's keeping him on the roster, but that doesn't mean your a good basketball player. Beverley at best is a 3rd string PG.

his defense relies on high energy. he cant do that playing 35mpg. being a backup pg is the perfect role for him. i expect him to get back to his all tema defense status by the end of this month

It looks like Ty has already developed better chemistry with Dwight than Harden
