Rondo looked much more aggressive, but in his typical controlled way. He was looking to do a lot more than just pass, which I think he needs to do because the defense will always dare him to score. He's much better at moving without the ball than his critics say he is.

Karl said in his post game interview that was the plan... I like it.

I don't know how effective it will be today with Jordan & Co. protecting the rim.

His first start was a success. Big success, actually. Sure it was against the Lakers but the things he has displaced yesterday i.e. all-out energy, amazing 2nd jump, protecting the rim, tenacity and determination, athleticism, put-backs and dunks..are things that we will see in every game.

I'm excited.

Yeah, part of me understands that when the pace is high, both teams are going to score because there are just more possessions over the course of the game.

However, there is that other part of me that want's the Kings to be more focused on defense. There were times in this game where we were getting outscored by LA's 'scrubs'. About a year ago, I was attributing our string of impressive wins to the fact that our defense had gone from the worst in the league to about a mid to upper-mid tier defense. Malone made the difference in that regard. While we might make the leap to a top 10 offense this year, our ability to make it into the playoffs is going to depend on us keeping other high octane offenses contained in order to secure the win. As a result, I would like to see us show more of a beat-down on lesser teams. Making that team the Lakers would make it even more satisfying.

But too small of a sample size to really take an effective reading. Let's see what happens with LAC tonight.

Yeah, they have know the competition and the Clippers are going to defend them much different than the Lakers did. The Kings started to have a bit of trouble when the Lakes went to the zone, it was the Kings interior defense that just made it pointless in the grand scheme because the Kings were so aggressive on that end.

All bases looked covered last night besides Ben, and Ben for the third year is going to drive up my blood pressure

Christie seemed good on the call, and is articulate and personable. I had no idea why they had Fat Lever on the radio with no connection to the Kings and without articulation IMO, but DC fits
