Kings @ Clippers Oct 31, 2015

One especially nice thing so far is that the team is averaging 25 APG. That is miles ahead of where we have been the last decade, and it is especially cool considering how bad we played against the Clippers yesterday.

This upcoming game will be both the team's first back to back and their first road game. It is going to be really difficult. We should do better against Blake Griffin with Trill and Gay on him more, but Rondo is not going to be able to embarrass the Clippers like he embarrassed the Lakers, Cousins is not going to be able to repeatedly drive to the basket from the three point line (but I know he will be tempted to try), and Ben is still AWOL offensively.

If Ben isn't going to give anything on offense, I would like to see Marco step up in his place. The guy had a pretty decent pre-season and I want to see that translate into the regular season. He has been awol too. We need his spacing and off ball movement today.

I hope Cousins destroy the Clippers like he usually does last season. Just give Jordan hell inside and hope he gets into foul trouble early.

Blake & CP3 are players I don't expect the Kings to stop. Those guys are really special. We have to pick our poison and hopefully they have an off night.

Willie had a great game against the Lakers. Lets see if he can replicate it in the rematch against the Clippers.

We need Rondo & Collison to have good games too.

Essentially, the Kings needs a near-perfect game to beat the Clippers in LA.

Our last game against them wasn't really all that bad. We kept to our game plan to turn them into a jump shooting team and keep them out of the paint, they just really executed and we stunk it up early. We should stick to our game plan with more focus and intensity. The big changes that need to be made are to prevent turnovers, hit the easy open buckets (our % from the 3 last game was higher than our overall %!!!!), and hope that cp3 and the Grif just aren't as overachieving in efficiency as they were last game.

I expect to see more of what happened in the second half of game one. Kings wont be anywhere near 80 pts in the paint.. Different game plan. I'm predicting we will be 1-2.

If we can hit our outside shots, and Cousins stays out of foul trouble we've got a good shot. No way Blake looks as good from the outside with WCS on him.

Is Karl starting WCS or going with Koufus again?

I'm ok with Koufus starting if WCS gets a good amount of minutes.

Really?

I don't like that at all. Especially what happened in opening night. Koufos simply can't guard Blake in the perimeter nor have the speed and mobility to match him.

Did anyone catch that sideline report Kayte gave during the Lakers game? I didn't catch all of it but it sounded like she was told by Karl that the idea is for Willie to be the full time starter he just wanted to ease him into the slot. I'm not sure that's what she said but I heard something to that effect.

Im not calling for a Koufus start, I was just laying down my IF Koufus starts demands.

Yeah, we pretty much all knew that coming in... Thing is, someone define "ease in"...

Karl held him out based on matchups in game 1... Is that a one time thing? Will Karl continue to protect him with favorable match ups only? Or was one game of 8 minutes all the easing Karl will provide?

I think this could be the Clips year to represent the West, and I said as much in my year predictions on the TT board. Blake,Paul,DJ,Reddick have been through the wars and are hungry.

With that said it sure is nice with the team we have depth wise and talent wise that I never expect us to be blown out. We will give it a go to the end

This game feels like it could fall apart at any second. High pressure game.

We are looking really good overall but I would really like to see someone dump the ball off to a screener after the pick and roll. Guys are attempting very difficult shots in the paint we can get a few easier looks of we make that extra pass.

That double screen with Jordan and Blake is deadly... You got Paul handling the ball, Jordan rolling to the basket and Blake sitting top of the key. Man....

These refs suddenly decided to annihilate the rhythm of the game.

How much longer am I going to have to tolerate McLemore?

Bad bad run by the Clips, I thought we had this

The defense crumbled. We must have allowed 30 points.

Clippers played a high-pressure defense and have upped their intensity level in the 2nd qtr too.

The Kings were unable to deal with it.
