Redick Closes It Out

Post#41 » by Ranma » Sun Nov 1, 2015 5:16 am

J.J. at the line to seal the game. He's having a great game shooting 8/9 from the floor (2/2 from beyond the arc) and now 5/5 from the free-throw line for 23 total points.

how much of an idiot is doc rivers? holy christ

I was wondering why Doc played him the whole 4th? I was waiting for one of our other wings to get in.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

i hope jamal crawford has a revelation and decides to retire immediately so he can spend more time with his kids and family.

cause i'm not enough of an ass to hope he has a career ending injury.

Disappointing Team Performance, Perfect Record

Post#44 » by Ranma » Sun Nov 1, 2015 5:19 am

It was disappointing to see the team play down to the competition, but I was actually glad Doc didn't bring in Paul Pierce late into the game (unless it was absolutely necessary) because the team needs to learn how to step up during tense situations without having the Truth always serving as the safety net.

It's a win and I'll always take those, but this was a pitiful showing.

For Boogie, although it would have been more fitting if he could have finished the game.

Prior to the season, I went back and forth on the final western playoff team (assuming GSW, LAC, SAS, OKC, HOU, MEM & NOP make it). It was between the Utah and Sacramento. I settled with the Kings, but it was very close. We're going to see what they're made of. They have the potential and talent, but it's all about coming together, staying together and seeing it through for them.

Watched this game last night as none of the late night college football was any good. Bench appears to still be a bit of a concern. Would love to see Prigs in there in place of Crawford or River at times. Have a real PG in the game might help plus he's a terrific shooter. Doc might want to stagger his starters a bit more, keeping one of Paul or Blake in with the 2nd unit would really help. Rick started doing that with Dirk shortly after he arrived in Dallas, pulling Dirk at the 6 minute mark and then bringing him back in late in the quarter as the 2nd unit came in.

Oh and:

Blake Griffin is the best big in teh league right now. Yeah he's better than Anthony Davis.

yeah, a lot of these are sentiments we have mentioned for a while now. especially the staggering of cp3/blake. didn't spoelstra make it a point to keep one of his big 3 on the court at all times? don't see why we can't/aren't doing that.

the real thing that is completely mindblowing, bizarre, and baffling though is the coach's insistence on putting jamal crawford in at critical defensive junctures. it makes no sense at all and it's hurting us already. it's also gonna end up hurting lance's and austin's confidence that jamal crawford of all people is tasked for a clutch defensive moment over them. effing unreal.
