Around the NFL: Week 9

Kaepernick benched for Blaine Gabbert. Which leads us back to this.

From the comment section

If Randle could rush the QB, he’d never be cut no matter what he did.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

MAJOR changes in Detroit: Lions have fired GM Martin Mayhew and president Tom Lewand, league sources told ESPN.

#Lions source on the firings today: “Total wipeout.” Apparently, bosses are going through the building deciding who stays and goes.
Amos Barshad: "So you got a job, a place to live, a license? What’s left?"

Giannis: “Nothing. Just get a ring now.”

Bengals are 7-0. Probably 8-0 with the Texans up next week. Then have a good one with Arizona in the desert.

Probably not the spot to post this but wasn't going to start a thread for it.

Ill be in mke next weekend, going to the bucks/cavs game on the Saturday night and then to the packers/lions game on the sunday. Been looking at the best way to get out there, we have accommodation for the sunday night and will head back to Chicago Monday. Hiring a car or one the the buses to the stadium appear the best options. Any other ideas or suggestions would be cool! Thanks fellas..

Have the lions ever had a competent coach / coaching staff / or front office?

It seems the answer is no

I think since the 50s, the only coaches that have gotten a 2nd HC job after being HC of the Lions are the interim ones (Jauron was one of them). Too lazy to look up the exact stat.

It's all relative with Wayne Fontes. We would have wanted him canned as a Packers coach.

Anyone see the posted photos of the injuries Greg Hardy caused to his victim? Be proud Jerry Jones.

I think the NFC is deeper conference with more good to solid teams, but the AFC has three really high end teams with the Patriots, Bengals, and Broncos. It will be interesting to see which of those three end up getting the two first round byes.

I love the excuses of "The Cowboys didn't see the pictures before signing Hardy." Alright, now you saw them....your move.

Right, thought the same thing. Why is he still on your team then?

It's about a 2 hour drive from Milwaukee to Green Bay. If you get up there early enough (around 8 am or so) you'll be able to park free on one of the surrounding neighborhood streets. Otherwise you can pay to park in a lot or on someone's lawn. It's a fun atmosphere on game days.

The worst part was the statement Jerry Jones released afterwards that basically said "we don't give a ****, Greg Hardy is really good at football."

Jerry Jones is effectively showing that he's just a horrible human being. This isn't news.

The suprising fact is there's actually Cowboy fans defending the idea of keeping him on the team.

Enjoy your team of felons Cowboy nation.

I was one of the few who actually wanted to give Hardy a try.

After these pictures I am glad we didn't. If we had I would not be able to cheer for the team until he was gone. I am already on the fence about Guion.

This is the thing that just blows me away about society today.

Before the pictures - you wanted Greg Hardy.

After the pictures - you don't.

Why the hell do you need the pictures????? The only reason this guy isn't in prison is he reached a settlement (paid this chick off) after being found guilty and appealing.
