Yep, until we can land a superstar we aren't going anywhere as an organization. We have some nice complementary positions but this is a league driven by supserstars and the Suns have none.

I still think this is a bullsh*t outlook, and to look at a performance like this and only come away with "we need a superstar to win games like this" is just plain stupid.

I agree, you need 2 superstars.

Not really. Paul and Blake are both bitches, and there was that whole thing with Jordan this summer. I liked the Clips before they got Paul when you could root for them.

We don't exactly need a superstar but a few go to players that you can trust in crunch time to get the job done. Looks like a ton of games will be just like tonight and it sucks to play well for a half or 45 minutes and then not have a go to player down the stretch to save us.

Tyson Chandler had 14 points and 17 rebounds. He was just awesome. I love having him on the Suns.

Meanwhile, the Pacers have not looked good so far this season. Paul George is not happy about playing power forward. If they continue to lose, I wonder if he will ask to be traded.

What would you guys think of Markieff, Tucker, Goodwin, and maybe a pick or two for George? Then start Leuer and/or Teletovic at the power forward spot. I would do it.

We just need to get the ball to guys that are shooting well. Too often our largest volume shooters in a game are our worst percentages of the night.32 missed shots from just two of our starters will rarely ever win games.

This current Suns offense reminds me of Corey Maggette and one of the best nicknames ever Bad Porn. There's lots of penetration and some scoring but it's not pretty and the money shot is off target.

Have to give props to the d and rebounding.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

I'd expect we'd need to give a lot more for PG. Something like Kieff, TJ, Booker and picks. The Pacers aren't winning but that doesn't mean they'll trade their one and only hope at competitiveness and for Kieff and throw-ins.

I know. Warren and Booker is a ton of potential to give up though. Both of those guys could become all stars. What about adding the rights to Bogdan Bogdanovich? He is supposed to come to the NBA next season right?

This is an encouraging loss. I've never been this upbeat after a loss.

Our defense is good except for pick and roll and transition. Our rebounding is f***ing sick.

To have almost beat LAC on the road despite Kieff playing like a **** in the first half and Bledsoe and Knight being horribly off is pretty good.

Tyson Chandler is the god damn man. I felt bad we wasted his efforts but hope he continues this.

One thing we need for sure is this...a good 3pt shooting SF. Both our SFs, Warren and Tucker blow from beyond the arc. Tucker doesn't even have the confidence to shoot it anymore, he passed up many times.

It sucks for Bledsoe and Knight because the opposing defenses just stay in the key on them.

We also need a backup SG that can shoot the 3 ball well. Weems isn't the answer, Goodwin can't shoot and Booker will never play under Hornacek even when healthy because of Hornacek's "never play rookies meaningful minutes" rule. Plus sure maybe Booker's not ready.

If we can trade Tucker and get a good shooting SF even if he isn't a great defender (open your eyes, neither is Tucker anymore) and get a good shooting backup SG like Morrow or something, we're set.

How bad and pathetic is it that the ideal SF who fits what I'm talking about is Marcus Morris :(

We just need spacing. Oh and Kieff can GTFO if he ever attempts that many 3s in his life again. I don't care if he made some in the second half, it's the law of statistics that if you keep shooting so much some will bound to fall. Drive to rim every play or take open midrange shots, that should be his game entirely. Maybe 2-3 three point attempts a game just to keep the defense honest but that's it. Don't turn into Channing Frye.

It's a shame that Hornacek doesn't hold him accountable and allowed him to ruin the first half for the Suns by continuing to play him despite Leuer not being in foul trouble or anything. Kieff now knows no matter how piss poorly he plays, he won't get benched and he will get opportunities to continue to suck.

There's something odd about our board, where we don't want the best players.

The most talked about players in the past year have been Tobias Harris in February and Frank Kaminsky in May.

What world are we living in.

What the heck are babbling on about? There was huge talk about LMA this summer. It's ludicrous to suggest that we don't want the best players, when the only shot we'd have at them is giving up most of our team and/or many future assets. You act like the best players are there for the taking. :banghead:

Ugh... tell me about it. Always playing down to our competition too. Tonight was a prime example.

The clippers are the biggest chokes out there. There was no playing down to competition. Your superstars are super soft. You're lucky we shot very poorly to escape with a win. See you soon, Lin. :D

why didn´t hornacek ever tried to let teletovic Play the 3.. he has good size, is a Little slow of d, but morris could Switch to defend the oppsoing sf, Mirza Needs his Shooting to go and than he could get some minutes at the 3.

btw. i watched the game and it looked good from the defensive standpoint, we grabed some mans Rebounds and i like it.

no comparism to the first game.. i like it so far

Props to the great one
