I doubt Xhaka's a Barca type of player, but you never know thanks to his passing abilities.

Though, the guy has an opt out for the summer of 2017 at about 25 - 30 M € and has been linked to half of Serie A, United and, of course, Bayern.
If I'd be a betting man, I'd bet my money(right now) on him moving elsewhere next summer with another year of growing at Gladbach, CL football and the club being able to cash in big time.

BTW: I really hope we can do a similar deal with Chelsea regarding Christensen, like the one we did for Hazard.

I dunno how much more than his buyout will be in 2017 you'll be offered next summer if it's not Barca/Bayern/Real coming for him; particularly if you charge back into a CL spot for next season. So I hope he stays until his buyout comes into effect. Gives us two years to watch this Dahoud-Xhaka pairing grow together; and with Leverkusen inability to score goals in the BuLi, Schalke's youth and FC VW's instability a CL spot for next season certainly isn't off of the table with the way you've been playing since Alvaro got healthy and Xhaka-Dahoud became the go to partnership.

And yeah Christensen would be an excellent get. I'm still just as excited for Elvedi, but he's even younger and needs even more polish before he's ready to lead your CB pairing.

Brunson: So what are you paid to do?
Hart: Run around like an idiot during the game and f*** s*** up!

I wouldn't mind another year of Xhaka at Gladbach but Bayern was after him this summer already and they'll lose Alonso for sure.
And those others, well you never know.

As far as the CL spots goes.
I'm happy we're at 12 points right now and on a positive trand.
If we're able to qualify for Europe again, it would be a pretty good season.
Especially thanks to all the injuries we've got now and with the possibility of Herrmann being out for a long time, thanks to that ruptured ligament in his knee.
He hopes to make it work without surgery, but it looks like it will be required later on.

Though, maybe Eberl will be able to spend some of the money on a good transfer in the winter, if needed.

Good lord... Ok, I understand we couldn't crack Inter's D, but that putrid Borussia defense??? Start Dybala instead of Zukic, I can't think of anything else...

That "putrid Borussia defense" is back on track, only gave up goals from set pieces during the CL and was one of the best of the Bundesliga(26 goals in 34 games) last season.
Not even Bayern could score against us last year and things are looking more and more like that.

Madrid v Paris today.

As happy as Madrid was with the 0-0 tie in the Parc due the players missing, the injured guys haven't healed and today they play in the Bernabeu.

Going to be a game to remember.

I hope RM can score some goals and seal a win.... these 0-0 draws are getting on my nerves for such a talented offense...

Hope James comes off bench to ease him in... wouldn't want to risk another injury so soon.

Hernanes is arguably as bad for Juve as Zaza is. Hope he can do something today but already doesn't look like it

I'm with you on that. But for me I'm rooting for Roma to drop down to EL and hope Arsenal/ManU don't make EL.

At this point Juve wouldn't even make it out of an EL group.

I hate FoxSoccer Multi Match 90. They are way too much in love with set pieces.

What is MultiMatch 90? Sounds like some awful NFL Redzone type of thing?
