I love this team, man!

The game is not over but I'm settled in my thinking. This team is scrappy, athletic, fun, and determined. They never quit. Rough start to the season but this is the team I wanted to see!

I think we are all going to wake up one day and all say "Holy ****, we are on a 10 game winning streak"

I'll politely disagree. There's some bright spots, but not much has changed since last year from what I can gather from 5 games. Which isn't a lot, because it's five games. I don't know what to make of this team.

I agree, as should most fans. We weren't spoon fed stars from the draft, so Henny drafted intelligent, tough guys to build the team around, and it hasn't paid off yet - but you can see the potential. There's still a missing piece or two, hopefuly we can snag a star in the 2016 free agency. KD, come on home (to your new home, atleast...) Wishful thinking, but i've dreamed about that happening for years, our team's full of stoppers but doesn't have a top tier scorer, hopefuly Mario will become that for us if we don't land a major FA this offseason. Here's to wishful thinking.

Defense is improved. Guys are rotating and helping out and communicating. But, STILL cannot finish strong and close out games. We NEED a closer on this team!

we need to get better closing out games as a team. everyone from skiles on down to the last man in the rotation needs to improve in this area. that can only come with time, though.

not saying you in particular, but i think a lot of people are really discounting how difficult it is to go from being a lottery team to a team that can go head-to-head against rosters with playoff-hardened talent in crunch time.

This team is fun to watch, I really enjoy watching them play. Its been a while since basketball was fun again. These guys really want to win, you can see it and they will learn how eventually. It looks like they will have to take their lumps in the meantime.

I could be overreacting here but I don't care. I've enjoyed these 5 games more than I ever have in the past 3 years we had Jacque Vaughn. This team is finally starting to show an identity that fans can get behind. As the season moves along, teams are going to absolutely hate playing us. Just need to stay healthy.

This team is much improved. Unfortunately the schedule has been brutal with still an undefeated Toronto team to play on Friday. My biggest concern as it is for most here is finding guys that can finish a game. We have battled and have really played hard on the defensive end. The more I see of Dipo and Tobias the more I realize that they are just pieces. Neither is a star. I think we have to make one more move to get over the top. It will probably happen via a trade.

Was expecting a little more improvement (and again its only 5 games) from Vic but overall I agree, i'm liking our team so far.

We are 1-4. I can take nothing positive from that. We have a tough early schedule, so I'm not saying we will continue this pace and finish with 16-18 wins or anything crazy like that, but I haven't really seen anything that tells me this group's ceiling is really that much higher than what I thought it was last year. Here's to hoping I'm wrong.

I love Aaron Gordon. He is seriously going to revolutionize the NBA. Waaay too big for SFs and too athletic for PFs.

He is going to be the reason people start caring about the Magic again

I agree... they have been very exciting to watch this season (yes... no longer shutting off the tv cuz it's late and i might as well go to bed and be ready for work) and it obvious that they are still pulling things together. We've had some tough losses at the beginning of the season but the potential for this team is very noticeable.

We've played and lost to some of the best teams in the NBA... might I add fought and placed some of them on the ropes. I'm sure a lot of the teams thought that they were about to have an entire "stroll in the park" when they played us.... but with the intensity that these guys are playing with....................... I'm sure not one of those teams will say... "I can't wait to play that magic team again." and that by itself is pretty admirable.
