It takes a special kind of suck to suck in a blowout win. 4 TOs.... yea making a good case to get your minutes cut. Dunno why he's starting off so cold this year, last year he was blistering hot early on until Byron Scott went into tank mode and benched him so he wouldnt derail it.

Last year he was a starter. This year he is a sub. So if he does not do well his minute would be cut. He does not have so much chance.

I don't see how's his minute being cut. Both games were blow out. It is really pointless to play any rotation players. Lamb is out there because he just signed an extension.

I like what I seen in this 2 game. He didn't look as afraid to shot after a few misses. Maybe it is because both games were a blow out. I just hope he continue shooting and be aggressive.

His minutes are also being cut due to Lamb's emergence so looks like Lamb might or probably will be taking over his closing minutes for the unforeseeable future. Lin also is one of the last to sub in at around the 3:00 minute mark so if this trend continues he'll only see 16-17 minutes a game which doesn't bold well for him. But yeah he needs to limit his TOs, lucky the team had a nice win so it doesn't look as bad on him.

Yeah, agree with you. Lamb cashed out his chance but Lin didn't. Lin need to do better to earn his minutes.

Lin is a solid backup. Lucky to have him. He's about what I thought he'd be.

Not why you guys are being so hard on Lin. He was fine tonight. He's not going to score 15 every night off the bench. He made some key plays in the 2nd half that helped seal the win.

That being said, if Lamb keeps playing well, he'll no doubt take some minutes that Lin would have probably received at SG.

Well, some of you can keep rooting for minutes and individual stats for Lin, I'll keep rooting for wins, which I'm sure is all he cares about.

Possible, but Lin hasn't done anything yet. Lin is a guy that can get 10 assists, 8 rebounds and score 28 while assisting on a number of plays on both sides of the floor. He hasn't strutted his stuff as that aggressive, get to the hole player that wreaks havoc on teams, especially in the 4th yet. One of the reasons is he is just feeling out and watching Batum or whoever is with him get their's. He's happy to see that. But when he has that mindset that he's feeling it and the team knows it, he's a tough guy not to have on the floor. Lamb is a good scorer and looks terrific but I think it makes much more sense to have Lin close games. It doesn't by what he's shown so far, but when you see him play one of his big games and contribute in the 4th it does.

Now, he has a lot of holes in his game and he will look sloppy at times too. I'm hoping that as the season goes along he'll mostly show his upside and minimize his downside.

Hahaha!

It's great that the team is winning and playing our best basketball, Lin fans just want to see him being a more significant part of it that's all. Being a bench player is fine but playing only 17 mins is a little disappointing, that's Byron Scott at his worst territory.

With this said, he still needs to tighten up his handles and limit the TOs to earn these extra minutes. We believe that he can play better than what he's shown in the regular season so far.

Absolutely. I'm not paying attention to minutes. If it is Lin helping the team, good. If it is Lamb, good. If it is Daniels knocking down some big 3s in the 4th, good. If it is a starter, bench player, who cares? Lin is a team guy and most of the Hornets look like team guys. Lin is happy for the win for sure.

The Mavs swarmed Lin. Teams have been gameplanning extremely well thus far. He's drawing doubles. That 2nd unit needs to learn to capitalize off it.

  i was just teasing...IMO, it is a long season, a lot things will change from time to time, i think lin is in a good situation (not perfect though, i would think so even after a stellar pre-season)... Lin fans want to see lin win back his starter status in this league (not necessarily from Kemba), to prove doubters wrong again...

Don't get me wrong I'm very happy about tonight's win, I'm loving how this team is coming together and showing that pre-season was no fluke.

Personally, I don't care if he doesn't win a starting gig throughout the entire season, but not going to lie I do want to see him being an important part of the team's success, not a "make due" type of player getting the least minutes possible until the starters get refreshed.

they would pressure him 94 feet, since everybody knows he tends to make TOs when pressured...if he wants to shed off the image, he needs to trust his handles and make quicker decisions, be fearless... To be honest, i think he has been a little tense, even in his good games... he needs to relax, trust his own ability, just go for it...
