Mario Chalmers has no business to be mention in the same sentence as a future Grizzly. Absolutely not. :nonono:

Do not do this deal unless we are bringing him on as a complementary piece to Beno.

Looks like the deal for Mario Chalmers is going down. The Heat will send him and SF James Ennis to the Grizzlies for Beno and Jarnell Stokes. Outside getting back an unknown sf in Ennis, still not a fan of Chalmers. The guy is too inconsistent to be trusted. Keeping Beno was the better option over Chalmers. [WEARY FACE]

yeah don't get this at all. I like Udrih more than Chalmers at this point plus adding Stokes and a 2nd? Plus giving the Heat salary relief. Feels off value-wise to me.

This is a great deal for Memphis, imo. Chalmers is extremely underrated on this board, but Heat fans have seen him play some great games. He is sometimes inconsistent and had a bad year last year, but he's a clutch player and can help win games with his defense. Also, Ennis has great potential. I think this was a smart move for the Grizzlies. Good luck to both of our former players!

The second round pick was over the top for the values involve in this garbage deal. The Grizzlies already given up two first rounders already and now a second already. They need to step back on giving them away already.

Afraid Memphis will not have the 24/7 party culture he's used to in Miami. Funny going back to this story after all the years and now he is mixed up with the unmentionable demise of Gerald Green (guessing heroine OD). :nonono: it's a real problem in this country. Memphis fans will keep booing I'm afraid

If it were a heroin overdose, he would have nodded out. The behavior is inconsistent with that drug. In fact, the most likely drug involved is alcohol, which is bad enough.

In any case, apparently Chalmers's only role was being a good teammate and riding with him to the hospital (this from Ira Windeman's blog in the Sun-Sentinel). Green lived in the same building and they called Chalmers down to help out. Mario played a game that night, so he was hardly on hand to goof off (GG had used a sickness excuse to miss the game).

Anyway, Chalmers has been a good player for us and I hope he does well in Memphis. As a Heat fan it's really frustrating to see so many fans attacking our players (our fans are sometimes the worst).

16 points for Chalmers tonight. 10-10 from the free throw line. 2-3 from 3 points. +7 plus/minus.

Not bad.

It will take more than two games and a better effort of consistency for me to start trusting his effort on game nights.

Great to see Chalmers again last night. Udrih has been working hard, but Rio's a player we really miss. Last night it was clear who got the best of the deal. We were lucky to win.

Mario was waived? Harsh.

I'm hopeful that Beno Udrih returns to the Heat in the offseason. Ennis & Stoke both out of their teams too. Sad.
