Kobe needs to stop his weird follow through. He seriously needs to watch tape of himself in 2013 in regards to shooting form. I don't think his shoulder or arms are 100%. He doesn't have lift but that's to be expected at this stage.
Russell would of easily had a 20 point game if Scott left him in. All these Okafor lovers are going to be pretty quiet soon.
Randle is amazing. Love this kid, and Clarkson. We got great pieces and I really think we are going to be playoff material with this young core in the future. Big free agents are going to notice us now with this young talent.
Can you imagine Durant, Russell, Randle, Clarkson, heck throw Kobe as a role player in the mix for a 1 year 10 million contract for next season...
Hoping we can get Kobe in the playoffs this season.

This was a win against one of the worst teams in the NBA. We are far away from playoff talks. I just want to see the team compete at a high level and win around 30 games and that would be enough. Also I like what I'm seeing from all our prospects which is nice(A.Brown not included)

True but its better than losing to them. A win is a win. Plus its a road game which is a bonus. Of course with all the laker fans there you wouldn't know its a road game lol. This is another bonus on why its great to have Kobe...he turns road games into home games.
Fun to see the young guys develop. Do need to get A. Brown in the rotation some how. With Lou and clarkson that ain't happening any time soon.

Anyone else notice the old guy in the red shirt that was heckling players while they were shooting free throws?

I was at the game last night and met Metta after the game. He is incredibly down to earth. It doesn't surprise me at all that Russ said this.

Yes D-Lo deserved a little more time but him not playing a lot wasn't Scott trying to punish him, rather it was the 2nd unit was keeping control of the game and had a good flow. Secondly the Okafor lovers won't ever be quite.....not until Russell has completely grab this team by the horns and is dragging it with him. Big have a way easier time transitioning to the NBA than guards, guards don't really get it until they have a full grasp of what's it takes to dominate.RingsDontLie wrote:Kobe needs to stop his weird follow through. Yeah, you'd think Phil Jackson would have better things to do with his time...

I meant Nick deserved to stay in and not be pulled at all that quarter and than Russell should have came in for Lou. Clarkson should have been benched that whole quarter for his lack of defensive effort, if Scott truly wants to send universal messages as he gives the least defensive effort on the perimter

Lakers need offense and other contributions too. not just defense and let's not start acting like Young is some defensive juggernaut. His defense is hit or miss at best depending on his motivation
Before he went out in the 3rd Clarkson shot 3-6, 2-2 ft, 2 rebounds and 2 assists for that quarter...
In the fourth before he was pulled, Young was 3-5 and that's it.. no rebounds no assists, no fouls drawn nada... So who do you think Scott is going to put in in crunch time, the guy that's only looking to score or the guy that's finding more than one way to make a contribution?
Secondly Young is a bit of a bone head to be blunt, a smiling bonehead but a bonehead none the less...lol
Clarkson already shows a better awareness of the game going on around him than Young does and down the stretch that's the kind of guy you want on the floor, even more so when he's one of your players of the future you're trying to develop
I like Young I think he's entertaining and when his shot is dropping it's great but when you have another guy scoring at the same rate or better who's also find ways to get others the ball and snare a few rebounds and grab a couple of steals you go with that guy

Clarkson has a stretch in the 3rd that was awfful
Play off Jack and he scores
Don't close on jack and they miss a 3, jack tips the board and he does not box out, he doesn't close to jack again as the nets miss again and jack tips another board for him not boxing out... we dodge 3 bullets there that he caused being lazy
Jack scores on him
Jack throws a bullet by his ear because his hands are down and their big gets a layup
dump off pass because hes running alongside jack not in position or stance
If Nick or Russell, even Randle played that horrible sequence of D that cost the team the lead, anyone sans Kelly because Scott has a hard on for him, they get benched or talked to. Even late in the game, Jack cut the lead to a 3pt game because Clarkson was standing still ball watching and late closing. Nick made the actual reads and effort that game, effort Clarkson wasn't making defensively, and Scotts whole rhetoric was do the little things to him to be rewarded. Nick closed, dug on their bigs, rotated back, and boxed out multiple times when we fought our way back in the game in the second and took it over in the 4th with Clarkson sat.
scott is sending a terrible message. Clarkson does not have to defend or be held accountable to close out, rotate, or even box his guy out and rebound the defensive glass just score, pass, and offensive rebound on the other end. There was like 10 sequences where he did not care and yet if that was Russell or Nick, they would have not got back in at all
