Denver Trip: Bucks vs Nuggets

Post#1 » by EastSideBucksFan » Mon Nov 9, 2015 7:34 pm

I'll be leaving tomorrow for the Bucks vs Nuggets game on Wednesday night. I've never seen a Bucks game on the road besides the preseason game I went to Madison for. I've been to Denver a few times, but not for a few years.

Thought I would start a thread to see if there were any other Bucks fans in Denver.

Recommendations for pregame activities encouraged. Good bar spots for good beers, pizza, burgers, wings, etc.

I do know there's a Wisconsin bar called Swanky's. Probably stop by there for a beer.

We got 1st row seats in the Bucks bench corner, so should have a good view of the action.

I'm sure you'll be able to find many nuggets in Colorado.

You know it. There's tons of great hiking in close proximity to the city.

Hit up the Ian's Pizza if you're looking for Bucks fans. ;)

Went there a few years back when me and a buddy went to Denver for a brewers series. So yeah... Definitely go there. It is heaven on earth.

Saw a Nuggets-Lakers game there two years ago, while on a business trip. A friend of mine works in that arena, he puts all the TV's in, the network cabling, lighting, etc. Stan Kroenke actually signs his paychecks. Expect to be impressed with the Pepsi Center, that place is great.

I love how this actually exists and isn't just something in the South Park episode.

I had no idea this was a real place. Definitely adding it to the list.

That's almost half of the excitement for me. To check out another arena.

Had no idea that Ian's pizza expanded out of state.

I like Ians, but don't love it. Will probably skip something I can get at home. But, thanks for the suggestion.

Seriously I just had to look this up. I had no idea. I need to go to Casa Bonita now.

Absolutely. Of all the arenas that teams currently play in, I've only seen the Bucks play in the BC, Palace of Auburn Hills, and the United Center and the Pepsi Center blows them all away, and it's not even close. That place is awesome. If the Bucks' new arena is anything like it at all, I'll be ecstatic.

If you're actually wanting to go hiking, lots of good hiking in the foothills which should still be snow free. Eldorado Canyon was very pretty when I was there.

I went to a Nuggets vs. Mavs game this past January. The Pepsi Center has some fun food, I got a chicken and waffle thing.

My favorite place in Denver in Good Chemistry.
