You might get some sleep because it's the Warriors. The game could be over half way into the first quarter.

Minny is still one piece away from being a legit contender. Wiggins and KAT are already foundational guys they can build around but need either a SF or C. LaVine is better coming off the bench as a microwave guy a la JCrossover and they need to stop the experiment with him at PG. Someone like Damian Jones would be a perfect fit for Minny since he can focus on all the defensive stuff and be a clean up/PNR guy on O.
Basketball is like poetry in motion, cross the guy to the left, take him back to the right, he's fallin back, then just J right in his face. Then you look at him and say, "What?" - Jesus Shuttlesworth

Minnesota took down Atl tonight with big games from Wiggins and Towns. They also took down Chicago in the previous game, but it is still early in the season.

I also like how they enter the ball into the post for the big to look for a shooter running off a screen.

Not all possessions with post entries have to end with a shot from there. Something the Raptors could learn from with DD and JV postups. Have the defense focus on one side of the floor while you run another action on the weakside.

Ya, the Warriors, Hawks & Spurs all do an excellent job of using various actions to get their shooters open off of a post action (i.e. split cuts, weak-side flare, post decoy, etc). Knicks have even began to utilize split cuts after their N2P action.

They are one or two pieces, plus a bench, plus experience away from being a legit contender. They cruise to a 34-point lead at the half, then give it all up and are actually down a point with four minutes to go before Atlanta ran out of gas (fourth game in five nights).

Minny looks good but in the long run they are still team who takes too many midrange Js, defensively their players are either really young or too old to move, and Sam Mitchell is their coach. I think if they break 30 Ws the season is a success

I haven't really tried to break them down in any detail but they seem like a young team that does young team things. They'll dominate with the talent but lose some sort of focus and let teams back in the game. I noticed it last year and it happened again tonight until Wiggins decided to end the game.

I don't think anyone knows how good or how bad the Pelicans are just yet. They have so many guys injured.

Anyone watching this Clippers game? These commentators are real. They're ripping the Grizzlies about their treadmilling. Lmao a lot of what they're saying could be applied to the Raptors.

I thought that was ridiculous and think they have 2 of the worst announcers in the league.

His reasoning behind Memphis struggles is "they don't have the big men to play the style they want". Really? The disrespect for Marc Gasol is real

The worst announcers in the NBA. Hands down. Not even Boston or SA get close to them. I watch clipper games on mute most of the time because of them.

Heinsohn is by far the worst. Just a caricature now.

Clippers announcers are at least informative while being super Clippers homers. I say this having grown up hearing them.

OH ME
OH MY

They literally have no clue about any other team in the NBA and every time a clipper does anything good they go into a 5 minute tangent about how they are special and how they work in the gym 24/7. They also use sport analogies that make no sense. The NBA needs to do some quality control on some of the announcers out there.

I agree but I thought it was funny when one of them made the "neverland" comment. Hawks commentators are up there for most biased too.

Don't discount Minny so much. Yeah, they are young and make young things as you say. But, last night, they got 49 of 117 points from the bench, which is quite mature. Minny's depth may help them a lot in keeping things going right way.

Oh I'm not discounting them at all! I think they're a blast to watch and I'm enjoying their success so far! I'm saying really they just need to continue to tighten things up and they'll be quite a competitive team, a playoff team in the next couple years for sure.

EDIT: I have always liked Wiggins but Towns is awesome too! He's going to be good. Him and Wiggins could carry this team to some pretty spectacular places.
